After L5-S1 emergency surgery for a herniated disc that smashed my thecal sac, it’s been a 4 year journey to sit comfortably to take a bath without leaning to one side or the other. I’d given up on loving long bubble baths or even baths. This unbelievably comfortable bath pillow has made that possible, again. Truly, I even put a silk pillow case on it and sleep with it across my lower back for a pain free night on a “Purple” mattress that’s nice, but THIS pillow is impressive. It supports my lumbar, the materials used don’t even make me hot at night. I’m actually going to buy several to put against my lumbar when I sit to watch tv or use the computer and a designated one to sleep with. I’ve already been using it several weeks this way, initially out of desperation. Yesterday, I lifted some things I shouldn’t have and used a lumbar Velcro support belt and turned this mini pillow vertically to support me and it helped immensely, although looked a little strange. lol These are my “off label” uses, but with every six month nerve ablations , I’m THRILLED to come across this; and come birthdays, everyone I know with back issues is getting gifted this life changing little hearty, but not heavy bath pillow. This pillow is strange feeling, but it’s very comfortable and effective for lower back support in the bathtub. Unfortunately, I am really tall and my tub is tiny, so with the addition of this pillow I had no room for my legs. If I were regular height, or had a nice sized tub, or didn’t have a back injury that is exacerbated by scrunching my legs in a small space, it would be perfect. I do recommend this product if you have room to store it and have a good leg to tub length ratio! I didn’t try the suction cups, I thought they were unnecessary because I change position often in the bath. The pillow is rubbery so it’s not sliding around, you can position it where you like and lean on it and it won’t move. ... show more

My bathtub is too small leading to lumbar strain when I'm trying to soak in the tub. This bath pillow is so comfortable and does not require the section cups for me. It works wonderfully for a lumbar support or near full back support if turned the long way. Material and the waffle holes allow this to dry quickly. My package was "lost" and never got delivered. I received a refund and then reordered. The second time I ordered, my package did arrive and the bath pillow product itself is fantastic. The bath pillow was everything as described and even better. In fact, I liked the product so much that I ordered a second pillow as a holiday gift. And then, that package got "lost". To be honest I was afraid to switch from my cloth/foam pillow to this one. The material has turned out to be extremely more comfortable than my other pillow- and definitely easier to wash and clean than cloth. If you have severe neck pain, nerve pain, headaches that make taking a relaxing bath impossible, you need this pillow. I have tried every other bath pillow out there with no success with support, stability, or comfort. If you're like me a hot bath helps with the pain, muscle tightness , and tension, and I wanted nothing more than something to support my neck and help me fully relax so I could get the relief I needed.     • Squishy, comfy but huge

This lumbar support pillow is hefty. It IS comfy and squishy. No doubt about it. The problem for me is that it's thick and heavy. It's too big to be a good lumbar pillow in the bathtub and it's heavy so the suction cups don't hold it to the bath very well, it slides down a lot.
