This was a surprisingly nice paint by number kit; always a bit of a gamble with these $10 kits but this one paid off and I'm really happy with how it turned out and how close it looks to the product photo. The canvas was nice (I did one layer of clear gesso) and the paints were thick and creamy; they gave two blacks which was nice, and I didn't come close to running out of any colors. The only colors I had trouble with coverage were the reds/magentas. The canvas did come folded but it ironed out fine. Used my own detail brushes so can't speak to those. 5 star instead of 4 because the price makes up for the negatives. Please learn from my mistakes: - The one I got is not very beginner friendly- there are so many tiny details, especially since the canvas is 12x16 in size. If you got the same one I did, invest in an ultra-fine tip paint pen for the tiny black details. It makes it WAY easier and it looks great. - A majority of the paints are very opaque, but they dry fast. Keeping them closed as much as possible, stirring them regularly, and adding water drops on occasion will help. Don't add too much water or it will thin out and need multiple layers. Other advice: - It comes folded/unframed, and the creases don't iron out completely. As long as you iron it before you start painting and frame it when it's finished, you shouldn't see any visible creases. - The brushes it comes with are tolerable, but not great. Definitely recommend getting your own brushes, especially if you plan to do these often. ... show more

While it did come creased, the company state that will happen. A little water and a hot iron can fix the issue. The numbers are clear, and I love how the canvas is not a flat white, but somewhat colored. So far the paints have been great; none are dried out. Great price range too. I wanted to love this so much but it arrived so wrinkled I don’t know if I’ll be able to use it. I’m trying to flatten it out under some heavy books as I don’t own an iron.

This is my first paint by number. It was easy enough to follow. I do wish the colors had bin a little more vibrant. A few spaces didn't have the number but it was easy to figure out what color goes there. In all I'm happy with it. Also this did come folded and had creases that came out when being stretched onto a canvas. No ironing was needed. ... show more

The canvas comes folded, so that’s not good. It came with a couple of huge creases through it. I wouldn’t recommend this one.
