Compact, lightweight, digital, clips onto a backpack, easy to operate and read. Withheld one star for not being very accurate, something like +/- 2 degrees. But much more accurate than trying to read those mini-glass thermometers. Helps make good decisions and choices to know the (approximate) immediate temperature outdoors.

Great little thermometer that I keep with me when I'm winter bushcrafting. I'm always testing myself in cold weather and this product is a great feature for being accurate while jotting down notes.

I thought this might be nice to take to the ice rinks. When I received it , the package instructions said to open the battery door and remove the battery insulator tab. There was no tab. Since it wouldn’t turn on. I replaced the battery, which allowed it to turn on. So this is an indicator that it was either returned and repackaged, or when it was assembled they left the tad out. After letting it sit on the end table it was more than five degrees off.

This is very easy to read even in bright sunlight. It can be switched from ℉ to ℃ in 3 seconds. It is small and lightweight and far, far easier to read than Sun Company's liquid in glass type thermometer - also in the photo with this review. Pros: Lightweight, Easy to attach to zipper, keychain, etc, Very easy to read in any light. Cons: Battery required - it does come with a battery though. It seems to revert to ℃, but is easy to switch back to ℉ if desired.

I have a daughter up in Monument, CO where it is often dauntingly cold. We left a Zipogage on the bumper of '73 Bronco one night to see how cold it was getting in the garage. The next morning we went out to test some new carburetor jets and left the thermometer and a box-cutter utility knife on the bumper. Rounding the corner on our way back we could see the completely smashed utility knife in the middle of the street. Next to it wast the Sun Company ZipoGage. It had survived much better than the utility knife, only a bent-up key ring and a few gouges. It still works and I've given a few more to friends and family.

Reads high by 2.5 degrees F at 76 F. - should be good enough for most outdoor use. No night illumination. Quite light, easy to handle, easy to use. Battery installation is trial and error, but enough trial and it's in.

This little thermometer works as expected. It's within a degree or two of other thermometers in my home, although I'd be lying if I told you I knew which of these displayed the "correct" temperature. Close enough for my needs though. The one thing I will note is that the unit comes with a battery and the package says to remove the "battery insulator pull tab." This is not one of those flag tabs that some other items have that you can pull from the outside, it's a small, clear plastic disk beneath the battery itself. I didn't see it at first, but the thermometer worked fine once I figured it out.
