In the summer I have a hard time finding sunscreen's I really like and will continue to use. I don't like the spray ones because most of the time when I really need to apply sunscreen, I am out on the lake and in the water. Spray sunscreen doesn't stay on when I get into the water, but with the SunBum original SPF 30, it really does! I have never had a problem with this sunscreen. In fact, it has always prevented me from getting a bad burn on the lake. I burn very easily on my face and my chest, and so I always lather those places up with my SunBum sunscreen and I never burn! It doesn't come off in the water, it rubs in very easily, and smells great! I would always recommend this product when people ask me what sunscreen I use to protect from the sun's harmful rays. I have never found a good sunscreen that fully prevents me from burning unless I literally reapply every 30 minutes. I went to a 4 day music festival and only applied this sunscreen once per day, was out in the sun for 6-8 hours per day and did not burn one bit! I've been using the Sun Bum Original SPF 50 Sunscreen for a while now, and I have mixed feelings about it. On the positive side, it’s definitely a good sunscreen. It does its job well, offering solid protection against sunburn, and I haven't experienced any skin issues using it. The lotion is easy to apply, absorbs fairly quickly, and doesn’t leave a greasy residue, which is a big plus for me. However, there are a couple of downsides. First, the price. I find it a bit on the expensive side compared to other options available. There are many other sunscreens out there that offer more quantity for a lower price. Of course, there are also some that cost more than Sun Bum, but the price point is still a consideration for me. That said, it's worth noting that Sun Bum is vegan, gluten-free, and enriched with Vitamin E. For people who need a gluten-free or vegan sunscreen, or are looking for additional skin benefits from Vitamin E, this could justify the higher price. If you’re paying extra, you are getting these added benefits, which you might not get from cheaper alternatives. Even so, I believe the price is kinda okay, but it would be great if we could get a little more quantity. The second thing is the smell. This is where my feelings are really mixed. Sometimes I enjoy the scent – it has a unique, tropical aroma that's quite distinctive. Other times, I’m not as fond of it. I think this will really come down to personal preference; some people might love it, while others might find it a bit overwhelming. I never want to put sunscreen on, I am too impatient to wait for it to soak in or I'm scared it'll hurt the ocean life near me. Sun Bum is great because not only does it soak in amazingly, but it's also reef-safe! This is one of my favorites, and I always recommend it to others!
