These are great notebooks at a great price. I use them to take notes in meetings at work. They include a spot at the top of the page for the date and you can circle the day of the week. I find this super helpful as I sometimes jump right into taking notes and don't remember to set up the page and these fields are a good prompt. There are also little boxes where you can indicate the weather for that day . I'm not sure if that will be super useful when I look back on my notes but I can imagine instances where it might be, and in any event it's a fun little distraction to fill in the box if a meeting is dragging.

So the first thing I'll point out is that the whole lay flat claim is total BS. The notebook does not just naturally lay flat you have to force it to lay flat and even after that it wants to spring back up, Maybe eventually with enough use the notebook will lay flat, but it does not immediately do that. The paper is definitely thicker than standard paper as it has the feel and weight of being thicker and heavier as you feel and move each individual page. The cover is very smooth and it does indeed pick up smudges and impressions. If you're particular about that it might bother you then. The ribbon is a handy addition allowing you to mark where you left off in the notebook. Besides the whole lay-flat embellishment claim the notebook is fairly decent however at 6 notebooks for 30.39 as I write this review which is 5.07 per notebook that seems a little high in my opinion as these are mass-produced notebooks and not custom-made notebooks. Based on the materials used this seems like someone is making a rather sizeable profit off of this based on what they probably put in to make these. Ultimately you the buyer are the one who's going to have to decide as to whether to buy this or not. They're not bad notebooks for sure, but I would look at all your options out there as to whether you'll buy this one or another one.

These are very nice notebooks for the money. They're not what I'd call hardback, but not really soft-bound, either--somewhere in between. Binding cover paper has a nice velvety hand. Paper is a good quality. Nice portable size--toss one into your purse or briefcase and it won't take up much space. I'm happy with them.

I received a pack of 6 hard cover books in a nice navy blue color. I have many of these similar journals from other brands. These seem to be a well made hard cover journal Pros: the cover is nice, feels good and, as I've already spilled on one, easily cleaned with a cloth...very important. I like that there is the option at the top to fill in a day of the week and date if you want to use it as a day planner or just keep track of the dates of entries, however this section isn't overpowering if you don't want to use it you won't really notice it. The paper is decent, not super thick but did not have bleed through with my fountain pen letting me use both sides of the page. Cons: Unlike other journals of this price point, it didn't come with any labels in the back pocket nor a table of contents page and numbered pages. This is a little thing but, at this price, would have been competitive with other brands. Otherwise, these are solid notebooks for either journaling, Bullet journals, day planners etc. At about 5.50 each they are well worth the price. I highly recommend having one of these in your bag at all times. You never know when inspiration will hit you!!!

I'm teaching bullet journaling this year, this 6 pack is a good value. At 200 pages each, that's 100 per month if we use all of these in a year. I think that's a good place to start, with plenty of room for extra.
