I really love this dress and I get compliments on it. I'll try and upload at photo at some point, but I'm 5'1" and 185 lbs., athletic / hourglass build (that's my way of saying I have a chest, but my legs are also thick muscle). And so the medium fits me great. The pockets create a kind of "pleat" in the front which is great to hide my loose mom-belly skin. Love the cold shoulder look, and the contrast from the solid top to the printed skirt portion of this maxi dress. I’m 5’ 2”, and this dress is a perfect length for me with flat sandals or flip flops. Could dress up with wedges or heels, as well. Material is soft and silky - label says cotton/spandex. Can be casual or dressy. Great for brunch, vacation, church, etc. It has pockets - yay! I bought this dress in medium and large because I had to have it fit right for an event I was going to and wasn't sure which size to get. Although I am 5'5", 126ish pounds, 36C, I have a wide back and I have trouble with the top part of dresses not fitting comfortably across my back when the rest of the dresses fit fine. (I am a size 4 on the bottom, 10 on top.) I got one with a black top and multicolored flowers. The top is thin and almost like T shirt material with no stretch and the bottom is satiny. It has an empire waist, at least on me. The medium fit well but did strain across my bust/back a bit. I could see a little bit of back bulge too which I hate. I tried on the large and it was better. The top fit perfectly without clinging too tightly to my bust and back and the skirt part was basically the same size as the medium. The pockets were a huge plus. I decided to wear the large and return the medium. The dress looked really good on me and did not add the illusion of weight like I feared. It gave me a slim silhouette. It was a just a bit longer than I would have liked but didn't touch the ground. I wore 2" sandals. 3" ones would have been better but there was a lot of walking to do that day and night. I had no issues with the shoulder holes or the arm cuffs being uncomfortable. The dress was breezy and not too warm. It has a white liner so it wasn't see through and I didn't need a slip underneath, thankfully. People loved the dress and commented on it and also said that it looked good on me which made me feel like I made the right choice. I don't have a picture because others took pictures of me and I forgot to have someone take one of me with my phone with the dress on. But I will be wearing it again and will add a picture. I would say that it is true to size unless you have a wide back or large bust. Then the top may strain a bit. If the top had a little stretch, the dress would be perfect. As it is, it is one of my favorite dresses and I can wear it for so many occasions. It would be great if the area where the skirt seam connects to the top had a ribbon or some other type of covering so the seam didn't show. I tried a slim belt but it was too high on my torso to look good. Nonetheless, the dress looked very pretty, felt very comfortable, and is well made. ... show more

This dress is very flattering. I am 5’3” 145lbs, petite but big chested. The medium fit great. The bottom is very soft and flowy BUT it is very see through (white bottom) so something to keep in mind. The top is a thicker material than the bottom. All in all, I love this dress. Because I’m petite, I never purchased a maxi dress before- As I’m getting older I want something different since above the knees dresses are made more for the younger gals… I bought this style dress in small and medium - I’m 5 feet tall, weigh 135 and 36D bust - the small fits great in length but snug up top- medium is a little bit longer, and I’ll need to have my friend fix the hem shorter… All in all they’re both great dresses and I’m keeping them both - love how light they are, the pockets and the cold shoulder look - ... show more

So happy with my purchase - the dress is just as described & fits true to size. Perfect length for me and oh, can I mention I love the pockets? I purchased a long slip to wear underneath the dress just to avoid any potential “see-thru” moments. Love the cold shoulder look too.
