Most of the exact same products go for over $100, but this one is reasonably priced, sturdy, and the wood is smooth. It comes with nonslip stickers which is a bonus feature I liked. All around a good product so far!

We had friends that has a similar platform for their toddler, so once our daughter got old enough for this, we had to get it! The package came, and was heavier than I expected. With something like this, heavy means stable, so I was happy with this. I like how the individual pieces came wrapped with their equivalent parts (Right side paired with left). I did notice a few imperfections from shipping (chipped paint, etc), but it appears a lot of thought went into how the stuff was packaged, because ALL the imperfections appeared to be on the underside when the step stool is assembled. I was a little worried at first, as the cross braces were all different, all packaged together, and not labelled. However, I quickly realized that this was designed in a way that the cross braces really only fit together one way. Overall, I'd say assembly was easy. The one step that took me a bit was adding the bottom step. I think one of the nuts was covered in paint, which took me a while to work through with the screws. I also wanted to point out the instructions, at least the first page, appear super professional. I like that there are little call outs for items that may be hard to see in the directions, or to provide helpful hits. It definitely looks like they had people put it together, take notes, then adjust the directions accordingly. I really like seeing that. The second page had an add on that didn't fit the style (font size, editing, etc) of the rest of the instructions. I don't know why things like that bug me, but they do. My first real complaint - I wish there was more of the traction tape. The top is a large area, and I'd like to have better traction for my daughter if she's standing up there with socks. I ended up placing the provided pieces around the edges, and that seems to be working well. I'd just prefer more. My daughter is still figuring this step stool out. She can get up and into it easy, and loves having a view of what we're doing in the kitchen. It's also is close enough to the sink height that she should be able to wash her hands by herself shortly (her arms are just barely too short). She's still a little scared about coming down by herself, but it's clear she really enjoys this.

We put our learning tower together today and assembly took about 45 minutes. There were a couple of steps that I needed to back track on to ensure a good fit for the pieces. It's suggested that the included washers be used, but they didn't really fit into the holes very well. Some went in without a problem, while others chipped the wood or left a mark. I liked the included anti-slip stickers for both the standing area and for the tower's feet. The ones for the feet aren't super sticky though, so not sure how long they will stay on the bottom. The tower appears to be very sturdy. I am a little disappointed on the size. It would be a perfect fit for a 2-3 year old or a smaller older child. I purchased for my 4 year old to use and it's kind of hard for him to get into. We'll probably only use this for a couple months before he's outgrown it. It does have a surprisingly high weight limit though, 150 lbs, but not sure how anyone close to that weight would be able to use this. It's a quality product that I would recommend for smaller 2-4 year olds. Unfortunately we won't get too much use out of it.

We had seen these kitchen helper stools and thought our toddler was ready. It is a perfect height for our counters. We had no problem assembling it using the picture based instructions in about 15 minutes. The stool is a very satisfying weight. It is heavy enough to be a very stable platform without being so heavy it is difficult to move. We started using it to hold our toddler when we're washing his hands at the sink. As we feel comfortable we'd like to involve him in helping with meals. You have to be right there for him at this stage of development. We haven't let him climb in himself yet but will try that next as we get comfortable. Any downsides? The white paint looks really nice. But, there are some bubbles and defects in the paint right out of the box. I assembled the stool so they are not evident but they shouldn't be there. There was paint inside of some of the screw receptacles making it somewhat difficult to assemble a few of the parts. Not enough downsides that I wouldn't recommend the stool. But, it would be nice if the manufacturer could clean up these issues for the future.

I really like this toddler step stool! It feels very safe and secure for my little guy and he's able to see what's going on when I'm cooking in the kitchen or baking. It will especially be perfect for decorating Christmas cookies this season! It was a great buy for us. It wasn't too bad to put together. I would highly recommend if this is something you're looking for!

This is the perfect height for my granddaughter to climb up to “help” at the kitchen counter. It was easy to assemble however it does not come with the little plugs to cover the screws so there are round indented openings where the screws are. It’s not real wood so not as heavy as it could be and it’s easy to clean. It also has little strips to attach on the step and where the child stands so it’s not as slick.
