Very high quality parts and materials. Powder coat finish. machined screws and the thickest steel. Literally the best and heaviest aerator in this class at ~75lbs. The directions were very challenging to follow and some of the parts needed "encouragement" to slip into place. As far as operations, it works as expected and pulls out plugs in your lawn, but as with any of these style aerators, you will need to weigh down the device. Purchase this item and it came quicker than participated. Was actually excited, but the box came damaged. Opened box and started to assemble when I realized the shaft rod was bent. Tried my hardest to make it work, but just couldn’t. Continued on assembling and realized the 2 end pieces that support the entire structure were not even the packaging. Now I’m pissed! So I had to package everything up and return. Oh by the way, YOU HAVE PAY FOR POSTAGE. Went to the UPS ready to send of the packaging and had to PAY $139!!! I would say this was the worse experience I’ve ever had with purchasing on Amazon. Don’t buy this product. ... show more

I put this together fairly easily. I really like the fact that they use lock nuts as I can assume regular nuts would always become loose with all the vibration. I used it already and I think it did a very nice job but I did have to wait until a steady rain to be able to do the hard clay area of my yard. ... show more

    • Good product with issues
This product is made of heavy-duty steel. It has a thick powder-coat finish. The assembly instructions are horrible. Some of the nuts were a size that I didnt have sockets or wrenches for. Possibly metric. The wheel bracket assemblies both bent drastically after two days of use. I may have to straighten them and reinforce them considerably. The coring spikes come from the factory as dull as a butter knife. I sharpened them with an angle grinder. Much better! ... show more

2 of the 4 holes were misaligned on the tow arm that connect to the underside center brace, off by a 1/2" each. Also, the directions, the worst I've ever seen hands down. The print was faded and some of the print seem to be double typed making it blurry. I would have rather they just showed an exploded view of everything on quality paper and print. Now, I haven't used it yet, I'm waiting for a reply about the holes being off. to be updated... ... show more

    • Difficult to Assemble Due to Mislocated Holes
I purchased this product due to price and claimed sturdiness. Due to difficulty in assembly due to part defects, I gave the product a low score. Assembly was difficult due to mislocated holes on at least two of the major parts. The axle shaft had one or two mislocated holes. On one side of the axle shaft I needed to pound the wheel hub bolt into the axle connecting hole. Unfortunately, I later found out that the misaligned holes led to the spine coring wheels to bind and not freely spin on half of the shaft. I also found misaligned top tray to mounting tongue holes which required me to drill out the top tray holes and elongate the tray holes to install the mounting screws. Lastly, I found the owners manual assembly instructions had errors and the provided assembly pictures at times showed incorrect part orientation. I contacted the company which sold the aerator and requested them to send some replacement parts so I could modify the binding of the spine coring wheels. (They agreed). I probably should have returned the product due to the poor part quality, but since I had already invested a number of hours into assembling the product and I had a plan and ability to rework the part defects, I decided to keep the product and just fix the defects. Have not yet tested the product for aerating my lawn, but suspect once repaired, it will do the job. Unless you are handy and are willing to take on a project to self rework the defective parts, I would recommend NOT purchasing this product unless the seller can guarantee that the part defects (hole misalignment problems) are fixed on shipping product. ... show more
