  • Stranger Things board game night
The game has a system that is easy to learn. Setup and tear down time is quick and easy so getting it to the table won't be hard. The game can be challenging but is good time.

  • Fun game but game is too difficult to win.
I like the concept and the game mechanics work well aside from the scene cards. They present a game balance issue. The problem is that the scene cards are too brutal. We have played the game 5 times and have yet to win. Not even close. I have never had this happen with any other game. I may tweak the game rules to make it more playable. One thing I may do is to allow a way to purge the papa scene card which is a total disaster if you hit it early in the game. Perhaps change the eleven power that allows you to remove a scene card that is in the discard pile and instead make it "look thru scene deck to remove a card and then shuffle the scene deck". Remove papa early in the game using the eleven power and prevent eleven from being eliminated as a factor. ... show more

  • Buena compra

  • Utterly convoluted rules and weird gameplay
Apart from the cheap plastic characters, the rest of the game pieces were more than serviceable. The problems, I found, are the initial setup and game mechanics. After three nights of flipping back and forth in the 16-page rulebook, I called it quits. That said, if you have the patience of a saint and TONS of free time (with kids, I don’t), it might be worth it. Fans of DND and MTG might enjoy. Not really for occasional gamers like myself. ... show more

  • When a great IP meets great gameplay/mechanics
Game is fun and thematically engaging. You move around the board playing action cards, with items and allies to beat stacks of "chips" which represent different challenges. Your ultimate goal of season one is to save Will. Second season is different and on the reverse side of the board. Haven't played S2 yet. ... show more
