There are some minor scratches in the paint, also some small bumps. Also one of the springs for the mattress platform was not attached and I had to stretch and reattach it. It definitely takes 2 people, or more, to assemble since several pieces need to be held up and there's bolts that need held in place in order to screw it together. The mattress platform is screwed into the 4 corners, and it took a good deal of force to get the final screw to line up. With the mattress in the highest position, there's plenty of room underneath. Too bad the side doesn't open so so it's accessible.

The crib itself works well and looks good; however, one of the pieces arrived damaged with a small chunk broken off it. It was packaged in the middle of everything, so it wasn’t shipping that damaged it. We were able to just push the damaged part against the wall so our little one won’t reach it, but it’s still unfortunate it arrived like that.

This is a fantastic crib, especially for the cost! Shipping was quick. I put it together by myself at 5 months pregnant, in about an hour and a half. The instructions are clear. It came with all the necessary pieces, tool and screws to assemble. It also comes with the toddler rail. Later on when its time to convert it to a full bed, you do have to purchase a full size metal bed frame seperately, but thats to be expected. Once together, the crib is very sturdy and heavy. Mine has absolutely no chemical like smell to it. The paint is a beautiful color and seems high quality. It didnt get scratched or anything while I was assembling it.

Over all crib was super easy to assemble (my husband’s words since I didn’t take part) instructions were pretty clear. Seems really sturdy though crib is surprisingly light weight for its size and being solid wood. Color is super nice as well. Unfortunately had to take away a star due to there being chips in the paint. One of which is super noticeable since it’s in the back top bar of the crib. No idea how I’ll be able to fix or cover it up. Either way I’m ok with my purchase considering the price.

Disappointed in this crib. The paint has chipped easily around the top of the rails and one of the bottom rails. We tried to put it together as a toddler bed, but the "guard" rail is ridiculously short and my child fell out of the bed. We tried to remove the spring support for the mattress and lower the mattress to the floor, but there's too much room between the mattress and floor. And I didn't realize you had to buy an additional piece to turn it into a full-size bed. It's sturdy and has withstood taking it apart and putting it together a few times, but it isn't really useful once your child can climb out of it. As a toddler bed, it's too high off the floor and the railing is too short to keep them from rolling out. The guardrail is tall enough that if they try to climb over it, they could get hurt. I had just really hoped this would last us a long time and instead we're just using a mattress on the floor.

The crib was a little darker than I anticipated but still a very sturdy and great looking crib! I did not get any weird smells that has been mentioned in previous posts, not sure if it depends on the color you choose. I will say that these cribs really are comparable in quality to the ones target or babies r us has for about $400. We ordered 2 since we are expecting twins and they both look great! For the price you can't beat it!

Okay, so here's the deal. I bought this obviously via amazon everything shipped fine all the parts were in the box. However, my husband and I noticed some damage to one of the front pieces that looked like it had occurred during manufacturing since it was already painted over. Another issue is you will be obligated to assemble this item which requires all the pieces to be marked in which case only two of the packaged items were marked with stickers to help with assembly. The rest of the stickers were completely painted over. One particular piece to this crib was not manufactured right and almost did not fit into the correct position per the instruction manual. If you intend on buying this crib just be aware that once you buy this item you can not return it. Instead you will be left with a phone number for a service desk that will try to replace the defected part. While assembling this product my husband and I did question the items sturdiness but ultimately decided it would be sufficient until the baby reaches 50lbs (which is the weight limit for the crib).

We got this crib and it’s great but a piece of the wood is brown and splintered right out of the box and the company has yet to get back to us almost 2 weeks later about replacing it.
