I used this board rack to get my surfboards and wakeboards off the ground. I don’t like the amount of sway in the racks once mounted in the rails. I was looking for something a bit more fixed as they’re in a high traffic area. I don’t want someone bumping into the boards and knocking them out the slots.

This rack was perfect for knee board, wake board and multiple sets of water ski’s. At first I bought this for wakeboard and knee boards and got something smaller that was ‘supposed’ to be designed for skis. The ski holder was WAY to small, returned it, and ordered a 2nd one of these for the boat shed. Stacked them one over the other floor to ceiling to store everything! Only complaint is the holders were a little wiggly in the rack, but one it was loaded with boards didn’t seem to make a difference. It held everything perfectly. Also, it was easy to install - my husband gave me a little refresher course on the drill, and screw head attachment and I installed myself. Because you can set the width where ever you want - getting in a stud for sturdy/heavy loads was not an issue. I’m a professional home organizer, and the pic above was a recent job. Definitely recommend, and thinking of using one in my own garage as well.

Overall not that bad. But definitely not great. The Background: I was initially going to build my own wakeboard rack but after adding up the cost of materials, I figured it wasn't worth the hassle. When I was doing my measuring before purchasing, I knew the clearance in between boards was going to be super tight but since this seemed cost effective I went for it. Pros: - Very Cost Effective (especially because this is a fairly heavy duty rack) - Protects Boards with the Rubberized Padding - Very Easy to Mount (I even used Drywall Anchors and it holds well for being such a heavy duty rack) - Trendy Design Cons: - ARMS ARE SUPER FLIMSY AND DINKY (Unbelievable how terrible the mounting bracket is designed. This is such a simple concept yet it's executed horribly. The rack looks awful when there aren't any boards on it because the arms aren't straight. They wave back and forth awkwardly and will never be anywhere near straight.) - UNEVEN MOUNTING OPTIONS (Are you serious? There's 23 slots on these brackets and each arm takes up 3 slots. So if you do the math that means that 3 of the gaps between brackets have 4 slots in between, and then the 4th gap has 3 slots in between. What? I'm sorry but that's just pure stupidity. Plus it's borderline fake advertising because the main picture of this rack shows 4 wakeboards fitting perfectly. That is NOT the case. You cannot fit 4 adult sized wakeboards on this rack if you plan on keeping the bindings on them - unless you jam it in and smush the bindings a bit. Look at the real life pictures in the listing and even the customer images - you won't see one with 4 adult sized boards. Not a big deal for most but really grinds my gears because now I have to keep my 4th board elsewhere. Plus it just kills my slight OCD haha.) - ARMS NEED HAMMERING DOWN (When I finished the install, I went to put some boards on it and the second I tried putting one up, the arms just fell out. I then noticed that the arms don't really go into their slots very well when they are on top of or around the screws. So I took a hammer and beat it into place a bit and it seemed to stay a lot better. Problem is, it made my arms even less straight. Frustrating but hard to notice when the rack has boards on it. Plus if I ever want to re-position the arms, I'm going to need a hammer to pop them off. Not a huge deal but again just something else to add to the frustration.) Overall, it's not that bad and looks decent when you have boards on it. I put my wakesurf on that fourth slot that has less clearance so I guess it works. Just not ideal. Plus (and this is just a preference thing), I wish there were some color options. I've seen some black or dark grey mounts and they look super sleek. Again not bad. Wish there were more options on the market for racks but I think if you want the best of both worlds (look and functionality) then just build your own. Or if you're lazy like me.... then buy this and deal with it :)

This rack does an amazing job holding all of my boards. I currently have a wakeboard, kneeboard, and 2 surfboards on the rack. The rubber grips are great to prevent any damage to the boards. Super easy install, had it up with boards in less than 10 minutes.

I bought two of these to store my surfboards, wake boards, and slalom ski. They work awesome and keep my gear nice and organized. I am able to hang my life jackets on hangers and then hang them from the bottom of the rack so that works really nice too. I would definitely buy this again!
