It's well designed and serves its purpose. The only real concern/doubt is the stableness of the pads on the support wings. They are a bit flimsy, so suspect they will likely go on the wayside soon enough and will have to come up with a replacement.

Fairly easy to install and setup, but the quality/packaging could be better. 2 of the hanger fins in my order came bent and wouldn't go into the slots, had to use some force to bend them back but other than that it's ok, rubber on the hangers are a good touch.

Installing was kind of a pain because the screws that hold it to the wall kind of go right in the way of where you hang the hooks that hold the boards, but we got it to work. The hooks came a little warped and they’re wobbly until you put weight on them. Other than those minor inconveniences, this thing is great! It’s strong enough to hold all this weight, it looks nice and neat on our wall, and I’m so grateful just to have the boards up and away. We like it for price and sturdiness. We could not build this for the cost on Amazon. We have 4 surf boards on it and 4 adult life jackets hanging below. However, we used our own heavy duty wall inserts and screws.

I wish I would have bought this years ago! It was a little challenging to install as the v shaped shelves where a little deeper than the strips that you hook them into would allow. Once I figured out to use a mallet and force them to embed into the dry wall of the garage I was rolling. I could fit 3 skis or two snowboards per shelf, all with bindings. Then the various ski poles just sat on-top of the skis. Thanks to the blue rubber on the shelf they do not slide and are quiet secure. We also wanted something that was up and out of the way and this unit was perfect! We have multiple sets of gear for each condition, and we really needed a system to organize and keep everything up and out of the way, and this was the perfect answer. ... show more

    • Good, but pricey, rack with some issues

As other people have noted, the arms have to be hammered fairly hard into the tracks, otherwise they won't go in. You could probably file or dremmel the notches, but that'd be too much hassle for something the manufacturer should have done a better job with. When you hammer the arms in, you inevitably hit the protective blue rubber and damage it, though to be fair, it only affects the rack cosmetically and it's hardly noticeable. One other issue is that the arms stick out too much. Even with a wide snowboard, the arms are too long and could have been designed to be shorter. With snowboards of normal width, you end up with 4-5 inches of the arms sticking out beyond the boards' width. Given that the arms, once slotted into the tracks, angle upward quite a bit, the extra length of the arms are not needed to ensure that the snowboards don't fall off by accident. Having shorter arms would make the whole setup more compact and less likely to poke your eyes. The arms also do not line up perfectly vertically; they angle left or right because only a single notch locks them in. I have other similar shelf racks and they line up straight vertically because there are two notches that go in two slots on the track. Overall, this storage rack does its job, but the quality does not match the price being asked. And if you have fewer than 4 boards on this rack, it will not look pretty on the wall (if you care about this sort of thing). ... show more
