  • A Practical and Eye-Opening Guide to Mastering Your Money Mindset
Modern Psychology of Money breaks down the mental habits that lead to poor financial decisions in a clear, relatable way. I really appreciated how the author explains the psychological traps that surround us in modern life. From ads designed to trigger impulse spending to cultural pressure to “keep up,” the book helps you become more aware of what’s influencing your choices. What really stood out to me is how detailed the explanations are. It’s not just “stop spending,” it’s why we spend and how to reprogram those patterns. The 6-week plan is easy to follow, and you only need 15 minutes a day to see real change. You don’t need spreadsheets, apps, or complicated tools. This is a mindset-first approach that anyone can benefit from, especially if you feel anxious about money or struggle with saving. Highly recommended for anyone looking to build a healthier, smarter relationship with money. ... show more

  • A Practical Reset for Your Money Mindset
This book takes a refreshing, psychology-based approach to money, skipping the outdated budgeting lectures and diving into why so many smart people still struggle with spending. The author explains how our brains are hardwired for instant gratification and how retailers exploit this wiring, then offers simple daily exercises to rewire those habits over the course of six weeks. The strategies are clear, realistic, and designed for individuals who have tried spreadsheets and budgeting apps but have felt frustrated. ... show more

  • Surprisingly relatable and useful
I found this book pretty interesting. It explains the science behind why we spend the way we do in a way that’s easy to understand and honestly kind of funny at times. I never thought of my daily Starbucks as a “reward trigger,” but after reading this, it definitely makes sense. Same with my habit of buying sneakers just because they’re on sale—I’ve got six pairs and half of them never even left the box. What I liked most is that the advice doesn’t feel like the same old “skip the latte” lecture. It’s more about rewiring how your brain reacts to money and spotting the tricks stores and apps use to get you to buy. The examples really hit home, and the short exercises seem practical enough to actually stick with. Even if you don’t regret every purchase (I don't), it’s still really informative to understand why you spend the way you do and how to change it. ... show more

  • Worth the Time
That warning in the synopsis convinced me to select this volume. No other way to treat this disease of mine known as Impulse Purchasing. This ain’t your average, dusty sermon penned by someone who thinks a Matcha Latte is the reason behind your dipping bank balance. This is a factually accurate, neuroscience meets intelligent and articulate rationale. The 6-week-money-reset was great, plus the book is short and digestible in mere hours. Nothing too extraordinary, but a good and motivating place to start. Pick this up if you’re smart and tired of being broke. This is the catalyst, the fuel. ... show more

  • The Right Financial Mindset !!!
This book is really good. I like that it starts with working in the right mindset, from financial flashpoints (family, culture, and trauma), passing through rewiring the money psychology, until how to become a money builder instead of a spender. In my opinion, everything is mindset, and this book helps to understand that part. I appreciate the weekly plan with a day-to-day action plan, which is very helpful. ... show more
