I’ve been using this stone bath mat for a few weeks now, and I’m genuinely impressed by how well it works. The dark grey color is modern and neutral — it blends in nicely with my bathroom without showing water spots or dirt. It has a clean, matte finish that looks a lot more elevated than traditional fabric mats. The mat itself is thin but solid — not bulky, but not flimsy either. It has a decent weight to it, so it stays put and doesn’t slide around. Even though it’s a hard surface, it doesn’t feel uncomfortable underfoot. It’s obviously not soft like a rug, but it’s smooth and surprisingly pleasant to stand on right after a shower. What it lacks in softness, it makes up for in cleanliness and function. The absorbency is the best part — the second your feet touch it, the water disappears. It dries incredibly fast, so you’re not stepping onto a soggy mat or tracking water around. It also helps keep the area around the tub or shower looking cleaner and less damp overall. I haven’t had it long enough to speak on long-term durability, but the build feels solid and high-quality. It’s easy to wipe down, doesn’t have any odor, and so far there’s been no cracking or chipping. I didn’t include a photo yet since I’m still setting up the rest of the bathroom, but I’ll update later once everything’s in place. I had to go on a journey to find a bath mat that would truly absorb water because my husband leaves small lakes on the floor when he exits the shower, and our house has the kind of floor planks that will absorb water and swell. I was skeptical of buying this 'bath mat' due to the material and price, but honestly, it has been a great purchase. I chose the grey color, and it looks very nice. Here are some pros and cons; Pros: -Quickly and completely absorbs water from wet feet. -Keeps the floor beneath completely dry. -Overall helps protect water-sensitive flooring from damage. Considered a great purchase overall, despite initial skepticism. Cons: -Made of stone, which can crack under stress or uneven surfaces. -Potential risk of injury if a child drops something heavy on it while exiting the bath. -Initially considered expensive compared to other options. EDIT TO CON LIST: -The mat cracked after floorboards warped from moisture, indicating it may not hold up over time in certain conditions.

The media could not be loaded. I put this almost immediately in front of our bathtub. When I have a fever, I find the best thing for my body aches is a hot bath. However, when you have the flu, you have to get out of the bath often to...take care of things. Running from tub to toilet frequently can leave a lot of water on the floor. With this stone bath mat, I didn't have problems with damp floors, slipping, mildew smells, or anything. It was really nice, honestly. My kids think its magic, and my dogs think its weird, but it works great and is a lot better than the fuzzy bath mats we've had before that get damp, stay damp, and quickly begin to smell. They're not much fun to wash either. I recommend getting one for any tub or shower you use regularly, or if you have a pool I'd put one by the egress. If it's on sale, it's a definite buy, and a decent 'adult styled' christmas gift for parents or siblings.
