The boots are really cute! They make my ankles look thinner and also tone my calf. The heel is higher than average but not too high so it's still comfortable to walk in. It's a bit challenging when putting them on or taking them off, but once I put them on they fit well both with and without socks. I wear a 9.5 and bought a 9.5 and they fit just right. These shoes are perfect heel height and comfortable enough to walk several miles in. They look super cute with skinny jeans and leggings or with a dress. Very versatile! The big rubber sole and chunky heel give me good traction and stability.

When I ordered these shoes( try before you buy option) I was hoping they were leather as it was stated in the description. I guess you can't them. I got the black leather looking shoes. If you can see in one picture it shows that it is indeed synthetic upper and man-made sole. I understand that for that price it is highly unlikely to be genuine leather shoe, but it would be nice to know that in advance instead of looking for honest reviews or ordering and finding out it's a lie. I still decided to keep them for now and see how long it will last. It is cute and comfortable shoe, decent price. I like Steve Madden brand. It seems like a genuine Steve Madden shoe as on the bottom has imprint of logo. It is a little difficult to put it on without a shoehorn, but with it seems ok. I have gotten so many compliments on these boots since I bought them. I ordered my true size, at first they felt very snug so I bought the half size up but they were too big. I decided to stick with my true size. When you break them in they will stretch. Would definitely recommend putting some sort of suede protectant on these before wearing them to protect them from water, oil, etc. because they will stain easily. ... show more

I had my eye on these for so long but only recently got them because they went on a great sale! I got a size 7 (what I normally buy) and they fit nicely, but I definitely could have gone up to a 7.5. If you plan on wearing these with thick socks I would considering going up a half size. Overall they are so cute and versatile and I can’t wait to live in them this fall!!!! ... show more

    • Can't believe the Steve Madden brand put these out into the market with their name on them
First, the ankle/opening is too small, especially for WIDE width size. Nearly impossible to get foot in. Worse yet, once in, these are horrible. They are so hard feeling inside that it's tough to imagine anyone would want to walk even across a room in them. Even if the ankle opening was correct, these would still not be wearable. Also they look better in photo than in person. Overall yuck. I've looked for days for boots here and now I think I'm going to have to go elsewhere. Just can't trust what's here lately. ... show more
