The product pictures do not fully display how beautiful these earring are! I am a big fan of pineapple. My love for pineapple began in college when I sculpted a cookie jar out of clay in my art class. I spent so much time creating each little pineapple scale, and it turned out beautiful. Since then, I have acquired so many pineapple themed items for both my home and my wardrobe! I bought these earrings as a little present for myself. These earrings are made of high quality 925 sterling silver. I have very sensitive skin, and I can only wear silver or gold earrings, or my earlobes will get irritated. These are the real deal, so I can wear them all day with no problem at all. The craftsmanship of these earrings is really great. The shape of the pineapple is curved so they really stand out from your ear. The pineapple scales are made of smooth sliver pieces in between diamond shaped cutouts. The variation between the smooth and textured silver makes the shine really stand out. The size of the studs are perfect to me. The are slightly more than half an inch tall. They are big enough to draw subtle attention to your earrings, but not large enough to be distracting or be uncomfortable. If you have a second hole in your ear, these look great with a tiny stud. These earrings are great for summer since pineapple prints seem to be the new trend. But if you are like me, and you love all things pineapple, you will wear these year round! ... show more

    • Super cute but more "silver" than "gold" as pictured!

I really like these earrings since I'm on a weird pineapple kick lately. I'm not a huge fan of gold jewelry anyway so I was pleased that these really look silver with barely a faint hint of gold, unlike what's shown in the picture. The picture shows more gold detail than what they look like in person. In fact, if I never saw the picture, I would have thought these were all silver. When you look really close you can see a hint of the gold. So, if you're expecting these to look like what's shown in the picture, you'll probably be a tad disappointed. Since pineapples typically are orange-yellow, I was actually hoping for a little more gold tone (as shown) even though I'm not big into gold-gold jewelry but these are nice as "silver pineapples." I just think it's a tad deceiving from what you get vs. the photo shown. These are a nice perfect size without being too small or too large. It's a little cumbersome that they like to fall to the side instead of staying straight during the day but I guess that's what the point of checking a mirror periodically in the day is for. I purchased these posts to go with a small pineapple pendant I bought on Maui. The earrings are beautiful and are a perfect match for the necklace. The design is so close that the posts and pendant could well have been produced by the same maker. However, I didn't pay enough attention to the details to confirm that or rule it out. In any case, the earrings are definitely worth the price. Pay close attention to the size, though, if you're looking for a more dainty pair of posts. These, for me, are on the large size for posts and are a bit bigger than the pendant. Nonetheless, the earrings are well-detailed and nicely designed. I love the size of these little pineapples! Very dainty and feminine. My only turn-off is that the posts are a tad larger in diameter than any of my other post earrings, so I really have to jam them into my ears, and it's a bit uncomfortable to get them in. I compared the post size to a set of plumeria earrings I ordered from HSJ and the pineapples are indeed, larger in diameter. I'm hoping my ears adapt so it's not so painful to get them in every single time. ... show more

Stud pins are poorly designed and they do not hold the clips. Thus, the clips fall off and the earring can fall out and get lost. The pins should be more robust. It would be nice if the pineapples were available in a little bigger size.

Years ago, I received a necklace/pendant that is an oval shaped stone in a unique gold/silver setting. Could never find earrings to do it justice, though. After studying it recently, I realized that it's a pineapple! I found these online available at an unfamilar site, and then checked Amazon! :) In real life, the size is perfect - not tiny, not huge, just enough to show off and catch the light.
