  • Disinfecting vs. Sanitizing
The % of ammonium chloride in an 80ct tub of Lysol lemon lime disinfecting wipes equals 0.32% Using this product, according to the manufacturer, to SANITIZE non-porous hard surfaces, use 1-2 tabs (200-400 ppm respectively) per gallon of hot water. (1 tablet = 200 ppm) 1 ppm = 0.0001%, 200 ppm = 0.02%, **3200 ppm = 0.32%** If you wish to DISINFECT at the same concentration that Lysol wipes uses, you would then use 16 tablets per gallon of hot water OR 4 tablets per 32 oz (quart) spray bottle. Also, unused premixed solution stored in a closed container will not loose its effectiveness and doesn’t expire according to the manufacturer. Only solution that has been used and is dirty looses its effectiveness after a day or so. Unopened tablets also do not expire. The date printed on the bottles is the manufactured date, not the expiration date. You may wish to boil a big pot of water for 10 minutes, remove from heat, drop your tablets in. Then, let the solution cool. This way, you are using sterile water prior to making your disinfecting solution. Wear gloves and if you do make the disinfecting solution, it’s important to note that you must leave the solution for 4 minutes and then you can wipe the surface. When choosing to use multiple tablets, **be advised** the blue dye WILL STAIN if you don’t promptly rinse and dry the area after disinfection. As an aside, I buy food grade d-limonene (pure citrus solvent) that is produced from pressed orange peels. It’s 100% natural, no additives, clear. It is used as a degreaser among MANY other things. I buy it from the seller Florida Labs. In a quart sized chemical safe spray bottle, I use 1 tsp along with the disinfecting solution. (You have to wear gloves because it is pure citrus solvent). Trust me when I tell you that your stainless steel sinks, appliances, cookware will SHINE! Don’t use on aluminum sheet pans. I use my disinfecting spray throughout my whole kitchen (sinks, counter, stove top, cabinets, and vinyl floors). I use it in the bathroom everywhere including fiberglass shower (let it sit 4-5 minutes, then use a magic eraser sponge (WITH gloves). Just be sure to always rinse thoroughly so you won’t experience blue dye staining. The Steramine disinfecting solution with food grade d-limonene added, dries quickly and is perfect to use throughout your house on hard surfaces. Completely unrelated but helpful, I also add 1 tsp of d-limonene to a 32 oz bottle of hydrogen peroxide and repurpose a trigger sprayer. Spraying peroxide with d-limonene added, WILL 100% get rid of pet urine odor, protein based stains on your carpet like coffee, etc. You just shake up the peroxide each time you use it, and liberally spray the area and walk away. If you have larger areas of pet accidents, buy a bottle of Oxiclean White Revive liquid detergent. Use 1 TBS + 1 tsp of d-limonene to a gallon of warm/hot water. Stir to agitate the solution and you can pour it over your carpet. Be sure not to saturate near your baseboards though! You can leave the solution for a few hours, then suck it up with carpet machine using several passes. It WILL foam up a lot and you’ll have to saturate the carpet with 1 cup of white vinegar to a gallon of water solution to de-foam the area halfway through. Thoroughly, remove the moisture from your carpet and every last bit of pet urine odor will be gone once it’s dry and all the Oxiclean detergent will be removed due to using the vinegar solution. I will mist the peroxide/d-limonene over the dried carpet too as a final step but it’s not necessary. If you have senior cat(s) or dogs that have frequent accidents, your carpets will be good as new using the items and steps I suggested. ... show more

  • Best disinfectant per dollar man has ever made. Proven track record in restaurants and bars.
So Clean, So cheap, Smell just perfect. I’ve written a lot of reviews. Click on my name. I’m old. I’m grumpy. I love things that work. I really love things that work better than expected and that are crazy cheap. Being at home 24/7, we dirty a lot of surfaces. I want them clean. This does that and it has just the slightest sent of cleanliness. It is why bars and restaurants use it. When you know a spray bottle costs a few pennies, you uses the crap out of it. It stores forever, and if you pay once and you will never buy another cleaning spray again. It makes 100s of gallons. I wish I was paid to sell this stuff. We use half a tablet per week in a spray bottle. Counter tops, stove, door handles, groceries. It is solid disinfectant, it does not go bad in the bottle. Should last us a life time. ... show more

  • Great product, Can't go with out!
I Originally Just bought just 1 bottle for my personal use. We don't have a dishwasher in our home. I wanted to be to sterilize the dishes and silverware after using them. I also was wanting something to sterilize the cutting boards and knives after using them to cut raw meat with. I had bought some Dawn dish soap but after doing some research and reading, I learned that doesn't sterilize anything just cuts grease and grime and cleans your dishes. The hot water in the dishwasher is what will sterilize your dishes. So with no Dishwasher in our home, I found these on Amazon and decided to give them a try. They are so easy to use and don't hurt and dry out your hands like other products I tried do. I will fill the kitchen sink one side with hot soapy water, the other side with about 2 1/2 gallons of warm water. I drop in 2 tablets into the water and let them dissolve completely. (they are good for 1-2 gallons of water per tablet) After washing the dishes in the soapy water, I simply dunk them in the Steramine water. You don't need to leave them in very long, a dip is all it takes. I found if I let them soak in the solution for very long they came out with a residue one them. After you have dipped them in the solution let them air dry. WAHLA! All done. These were a lifesaver for me!! I will even make a spray bottle (32 oz) and put 1/2 tablet in and use that to clean my counter tops and bathrooms with. Simply spray the area and wipe clean. If you don't have a dishwasher, or just want to sterilize dishes, or counter tops or whatever it may be. This is the best product on the market that isn't so harsh it ruins your hands and or dishes. It's safe to use, I have never had any problems or reaction to these like I did with other products. There is no smell to these at all. They are wonderful! I would even think these would be great to put in a 72 hour kit or an emergency kit. ... show more

  • It works
Thanks to covid, we bought these tablets to use in spray bottles to sanitize everything! It seems to make everything smell and feel cleaner than normal wiping. Also, more economical than using disinfectant wipes.
