Very strong magnetic feet so be careful where you place it. It is somewhat heavy and the magnetic feet are very powerful, which is great for safety, but tricky for use in a high place like the roof of a van. It was hard to remove from the roof. I wish it was easier to pair with the mini since it is only for travel use. It is tedious to remove all the screws and then rescrew with each use. Does anyone have a better paring idea? I got both mounting options, the magnets and the suction cups. When I have it mounted to my camper I use the cups because the camper is aluminum and they work great. But let me tell you about the magnets I just slap it to the top of the truck and it’s not going anywhere. Dirt roads bouncing all over the place. Highway driving at 75 and just today coming back from a camping trip I forgot it was up there and went through a car wash and not the touch less one this one had all the spinning brushes and height power jets and at the end the wind tunnel that dries off the vehicle and just about takes my wiper blades off every time. Now keep in mind I normally take it off prior to the car wash but I forgot and when I got home it hadn’t moved at all. I’m very happy I spent the money on this case and mount if I hadn’t I would be buying a new starlink today. ... show more

After buying and using several different devices to mount the Starlink Mini inside a sunroof, I finally tried this external mount. Should have started with this one. Functionality: works perfectly at all speeds and through rainstorms. Zero downsides. Durability: through my own user error (I forgot to use the suction cup pumps when I repositioned it), it flew off the top of my truck at highway speed. My wife thought I was crazy for going back for it—no way could it survive. I went back, brushed off the grass and gravel embedded in the scuffed case, and put it back on the roof (correctly this time). Starlink works perfectly. ... show more
