Description

The story of Cal Kestis continues in Star Wars Jedi: Survivor, a third person galaxy-spanning action-adventure game from Respawn Entertainment, developed in collaboration with Lucasfilm Games. This narratively-driven, single player title picks up five years after the events of Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order and follows Cal’s increasingly desperate fight as the galaxy descends further into darkness. Pushed to the edges of the galaxy by the Empire, Cal will find himself surrounded by threats new and familiar. As one of the last surviving Jedi Knights, Cal is driven to make a stand during the galaxy’s darkest times - but how far is he willing to go to protect himself, his crew, and the legacy of the Jedi Order? To survive, players will build upon Cal’s training with an expanded list of iconic Force abilities, combat stances, and lightsaber customizations that can be combined in new and different ways to fight as a Jedi. While the Force is a powerful ally, it may not be enough. Cal will have to get creative and master new abilities, tactics and even leverage the environment around him to overcome the obstacles ahead.

I was skeptical about this game because Fallen Order was terrible. However this game was more smooth and fun. To many side missions but still a great experience to play and redemption for Fallen Order.

Jedi: Survivor is a great sequel to Fallen Order, but the platforming aspects like switching from electrified wires on the shattered moon can be very unforgiving and frustrating to a point where if I knew about that, I would not have bought the game. There wasn5 anything in the first game like that and I really enjoyed it, but lately there has been a trend in gaming where the developers are not thinking about the novices when they design these games. I would liken the difference between Fallen Order and Survivor to be comparable to AC: Odyssey and AC: Valhalla. In both cases the first game was more playable and never left me feeling like I can’t get past this obstacle, where in Valhalla there comes a point where you can’t progress unless you beat one major character. In that game at least there were lots of missions before I hit the wall. In Survivor it happens in the first quarter and it is frustrating to the point where I am not sure I am going to finish it. However for the target audience, you are going to love it. It is a great game, but I liked the first one more. Aside from that, the extra twenty dollars for the deluxe version just gives you some outfits that do nothing when it comes to gameplay. So I state, know what you getting into before you buy and save the money, buy the regular version. The outfits are useless dressing on a questionable salad. ... show more
