This is a wonderful star shaped Advent wreath. We have down sized our dining area since there’s only the two us now. My huge 18” round wreath I used for many years is just too much. The star and infant Jesus are made of resin. Each point holds the candles: 1 white Christ candle, 1 rose, and 3 purple. The Infant can be removed until Christmas morning. I have set the star with candles in the center of an 8” wreath of purple heather and added 5 quarter sized round sparkly ornaments - 1 white, 1 rose and 3 purple - in the center on a small bed of rosemary in the area where the infant will be placed when we return after Midnight Mass Christmas morning. I purchased this as a gift. It is heavy and sturdy. The candles I purchased were a bit small for the holders, so they had to be reinforced (recipient used foil.) Very nicely built, lovely inscription around the edge. I liked the bonus of the baby Jesus in the middle, beautifully crafted (I prefer a middle eastern newborn size Jesus but that's just me, lol). Cute. Base is heavy. Love that baby Jesus is removable. The candles don’t fit which causes them to lean outward. I’m sure it could be corrected with wax underneath. They never fell out of the base.

Sturdy! The baby Jesus in the center is removable so you can add Him in on Christmas Eve. Candle spots/holes have a brass cup in them so things don't get stuck. The quote around the base is a nice touch. Definitely something to display for all the family to enjoy.

Lovely reinvention of the Advent "wreath." The resin material is sturdy -heavy for its size. The Christ child figure is equally well-made. Isaiah Scripture etched around the star shape is clear and precise. As Baptists, I desired something a tad different from the wreath associated with other denominations. This allows our family to observe the sacred time leading up to Christmas, focusing on the "holy days" of the Season, in our own original way. 5-year-old grandson lit first candle with help from his dad and truly loved the experience, learning about the symbolism of flame equaling the the Light of the World, Jesus. Tapers of regular size fit nicely. Entire family agrees that this will be a keepsake for many, many years to come! ... show more
