Will do what I need them to do. Living in tick country, we have tick picks and the like. But one little bugger got in deep on a hair follicle at the base of my head. After my husband nearly had to carve the deer tick's head (the size of a grain of pepper) out of the back of my scalp b/c we didn't have a sharp enough tweezers, we got these. No doubt, they will do the trick next time, sans any need for any surgical blades, and for what I think my husband thought, was a pumpkin carving contest. Now if only we could each get ourselves some better eyes as we age, it would be a bit easier as well, though self-supporting magnifying glasses (lighted) do a fairly good job when you can find it at 2 in the morning. ... show more

THIS is the set for ingrown hair. Though the regular one is not as precise and strong. You are buying this set for the needle tweezers. NOTE: you CAN purchase separately. I have a tweezer that is precise and rubber gripped. Unavailable now. The reason it was good was the distance between thongs allowed for more pressure and there was plenty of contact. The needle one in this set is THE BEST. However, Do NOT use to PULL! Once the hair is up and free use other tweezers to pull! Do not stress these and they will last. Try to hang on to tiny silicone cover. And be careful, you can accidentally stab yourself as they are super sharp, which makes them excellent for ingrown hair releasing. Tweeze with the second one supplied! I would get something better for the tweezing part. But the needle tweezers are THE BEST! Get this for the case! ... show more

I returned this item the first time because the the ends of the pointed tweezers didn't meet. One side was longer and fatter than than the other so when the sides came together it was not at at the tip of the longer side. I asked for a replacement and the second pair was even less useful. Manufacturing wise this second pair must have had a problem similar to the first pair. QC must have spotted the problem and instead of scrapping a defective product, they ground the ends of the tweezer to make the ends meet but the ends were flat and not pointed anymore. Don't believe the writeup where it says precision and sharp needle nose. ... show more

    • Flimsy and not worth the price.

This pair of tweezers were both very flimsy. The pointed ones just bent and I have no idea why. Only a day after the 30 day return period too. They are definitely not worth the price. The slanted ones seemed to work a little after trying to grab a hair a few times but feel cheaply made and definitely aren't able to grab shorter hairs, only longer ones. I had high hopes for these, especially after reading the reviews, so quite disappointed. Theses come in a nice little carrying case so they don't get lost and the fine point on the one pair are amazingly sharp so that you can get at the very smallest splinter or other small item. If I ever lost these I would definitely buy another set. Great product, great service.

I needed a good pair of needle point tweezers for ingrown hairs, but it was the freaking splinter in the bottom of my foot that sealed the deal. I ordered this set that night. Next day delivery and presto! Splinter be gone. Those needle points are SHARP! The slant tip ones work great on those embarrassing little hairs. The carrying case is really sturdy. These are usually fantastic tweezers, but this one wasn't so good. The tweezers have a fine sharp point, which is great for splinters or ingrown hair. This pair has a thick point that is not good for that or my use. Wasted my money this time. I got the bad apple in the bunch.
