    • Fits my 2008 Explorer 4.0L V6 Eddie Bauer Well, Zero Issues.
I was pleasantly surprised that this actually fit my 2008 Ford Explorer Eddie Bauer with the 4.0L V6 2WD. For sure I would add the 3 items that Amazon recommends to be purchased with this exhaust system. The gasket and collector flange hardware were fine. You will need the rubber hanger donuts as chances are the old ones will be dry-rotted and will require replacements. These are not included. My overall thoughts. Some of the ID to OD tubing could be a little tighter. I used black high temp RTV on the joints and tightened down the provided clamps. The clamp over the rear suspension is a bit difficult to get bolted up but not impossible. I ended up cutting off the old system with a Sawzall as it made this task much easier. Took me about 3hrs start to finish. The system aligns well and sits basically where the original factory exhaust was located. This system is much lighter. During my test drive after assembly I noticed a little bit of a resonant drone at a very specific RPM but only during hard full throttle acceleration. It only lasts a few hundred RPM and can not be heard while driving normally either around town or at highway cruise speeds. You may need to bend the pin hanger at the front slightly to get the rubber mount to seat properly. There's a stud on the end to keep it from slipping out, but it's very close to the end if it's not adjusted. Was easy enough to bend it with hand tools. Other wise installation was easy. For the money you can't really beat this deal. Even buying the Amazon add-in items this saved me a TON of money compared to any shop that I was quoted. Since it's stainless steel (for sure it is, checked it with a magnet) this will be the last time I need to replace the exhaust system. The tone of the exhaust sounds almost the same as the stock Ford exhaust. Don't expect this to sound like a performance cat-back system. IMO it's a great alternative to aluminized replacements and much, MUCH cheaper than OEM. I would recommend it. I am pleasantly surprised. ... show more

my vehicle 2006 ford explorer works but the person that installed it had to bend it a bit to make it work. also another person mentioned using high temp RTV on the fittings. I think you should really do that if you buy this part. my installer did not do that (because I didn't ask) and i can hear noise sometimes. I don't think they are a snug fit. ... show more

I provided 1 star since the exhaust system looks pretty nice, but unfortunately doesn't fit my 2010 Ford Explorer as advertised. The pins for the rubber holders do not line up, and the exhaust rattles against the spare tire well in the back. I contacted the seller to try and make things right, but they were not cooperative and ended up telling me to buy another one and send my old one back. What? Buy another one that won't fit so I'm out another $285. Would not recommend unless you can verify fitment beforehand. ... show more

The system was easy to install and is from the y pipe back (catalytic convertors). The system doesn't fit exactly the same and needed a little modification to make the rear support fit properly. It was welded on the pipe to far back, easy to correct if you can weld. I may have worked with it in the wrong place, but I could not let it go out the door not back to factory location. Resonator is much larger than stock, causing the hanger that would normally hold the weight of the resonator to rub the resonator. Also,2 of the 3 clamps that came with the kit said two inch on them but were only 1 and 7/8ths, so the didn’t fit around the pipe. Had to go pick up 2inch clamps at Napa. ... show more

After much trouble packaging Unpackaging and to find out your system is NOT the correct fit for my vehicle, it is very frustrating as you claimed it was correct. Now I have NO exhaust system after all this trouble, I should have never accepted the advertisement that it would fit my vehicle.
