Cheese slicer doesn't work very well

This cheese planer/slicer is beautiful but not very effective. The blade is too close the the body of the spatula so it makes very thin, very small cuts. I am going to try using pliers to widen the distance and then see if it slices better.

    • Don't forget to bend it!
When the slicer arrived and I tried to use it, the angle was off and I got nowhere. So I bent the slicer upwards from the handle, and voila, it worked! I wasn't expecting a learning curve, but otherwise, it's a fine slicer!
