Image quality is pretty decent, I'm satisfied. Auto focus needs a little more work, specially if your room has not enough light sources and the built in mic is really good having in mind is not a whole standalone big mic. Overall is worth for the price.

I ordered the Razer Kiyo X as a replacement to my Microsoft Lifecam Studio I've been using since February 2020. The Lifecam developed a short in the cable in November 2023 so I did a little research and came across the Razer via a Wired Magazine article. I was impressed with the specs and the price of $49 (when I purchased) and decided to order it. I was disappointed when I first plugged it in because it had rolling artifacts across the video. I went to the Razer website to contact Razer Support and it guided me to a list of suggestions. It recommended not plugging it into a hub or peripheral so I plugged it directly into the PC and the issue was resolved. The Great: The color and white balance are fantastic. For the last year, while using the Lifecam in my new office, the accent wall behind me really messed with the brightness levels in videos to the point where I always seemed to look like Casper the friendly ghost. I was able to overcome the issue by changing the angle of the camera to have less dark blue accent wall behind me but it was nevertheless frustrating. Upon plugging in the Razer Kiyo X, the issues are resolved and the video image is perfectly balanced even with the window open in front of me directly behind my computer and webcam. The Sad (not necessarily related to Razer): Due to firewalls related to enterprise software restrictions, I'm unable to access any of the Razer software to adjust the settings. So whatever the default quality Razer sets for Zoom is what I'm stuck with. I'm not convinced that's 1080p but I'm hopeful. It seems comparable to what the Lifecam offered. if you can get this on sale, this is pretty good. video quality is pretty solid, doesnt heat up even if used for hours. since it doesnt have a privacy cover (and for general privacy like potential mic recording), i like to unplug it when not in use, but sometimes it resets its settings, so you have to go back in and set things back up which is really annoying. i recommend you disable auto focus and manually adjust, otherwise it's constantly trying to look for things to refocus on, low light mode disable (could cause low fps issues), and disable sharpness and just set it to like 90-110, otherwise it's way over sharpened and makes things look noisy. also, id avoid installing synapse, just because it's almost like bloatware, loads slow, and everything can be done in settings of say, obs., if youre using that. also it's a pain to uninstall the razer software. to prevent the install just click cancel when the synapse app loads the first time. pretty alright otherwise, havent had any hardware issues or anything aside from it taking a while to initialize when plugging it back in, which results in having to close and reopen whatever software im using that requires the webcam, since it wont turn on if you already had the software open, before plugging in the webcam. id say to only pick this up on sale, since it seems to happen quite often. ... show more

Needed a webcam and this camera fits the bill. Sits nicely on my monitor, picture quality is crystal clear, and the mic is a nice bonus. It does pick up the noise from my fans, so keep that in mind when you're deciding where to place it.

i bought this for my boyfriend so he can stream while he plays video games. i got it for him for christmas and we have had no problems with it! the quality is great, it auto focuses too which i think is a must have feature. for the price and in comparison to other ones, this one takes the cake.
