I’m giving 4 stars because my heel requires it. I like these shoes. Bought brown and black ones. It took me years to find these specific shoes since the style went out about 10 years ago. But, I’m 34 and I’m looking to settle into my midlife man ways and I don’t really care what’s “in” right now. I like these. They’re sharp. They’re comfy. They’re versatile. They also rub the back of my heel and cause blisters, which is where the -1 star comes into play. I can’t give a +1 to a painful blister. I recommend some sticky heel pads for the inside of them. I have never ordered shoes online simply for the fact that if they do not fit, I would have to go through the laborious process of returning them just to try on a different size. On the other hand, if I buy shoes at a local store, I try them on, if they don't fit quite right, I hand them to the person in the shoe department, wait 3 or 4 minutes and voila another pair of the same shoe in a different size! However... I ordered these shoes along with another pair online in my typical size 11.5 men. Both shoes came and fit perfectly. The beauty of ordering online through amazon is that I have a MUCH bigger variety to pick from and most of the time they cost less! I will order all shoes online going forward. This was much easier than going to the store only to find out they have no shoes to pick from or they don't my size in the shoe I actually did like. The size fits tight but fits, I have two other pairs of Stacy Adams, and this is the only one that fits a little tighter, not to mention they sent me used shoes, I just didn’t care to send them back

The fit is quite snug but they're slipons. They'll stretch and loosen up. I'm happy with the product but the ad is not only misleading, it is false in my opinion. I’m disappointed because I paid three times as much for the Stacy Adams flat toe loafers as shoes of the same style and quality manufactured by other companies. I purchased faux leather flat toe loafers 9 years ago. They look almost identical to the Stacy Adams flat toe loafers, they’re still available and they’re priced like faux leather should be priced, cheap! The only reason I went with Stacy Adams to replace my old pair of flat toe loafers was because the ad here on Amazon said the Stacy Adams loafers were "100% leather." The Stacy Adams shoes look nice but I could tell they were certainly not real leather at a glance. Im happy wearing faux leather shoes if I pay $30-50 for them but these Stacey Adams flat toe loafers cost me $95! That would be a great price for real 100% leather shoes but these Stacy Adams' have a fake leather upper and flexible plastic sole just like the cheapos I could have purchased a second time. The cheapos would have kept me happy for a couple years again until I decided to replace them for another brand new pair at $40 and those would last me another two years. I'd still be ahead 10-15 bucks over buying one pair of Stacey Adams loafers! The Stacey Adams loafers have a thin layer of calf skin sewn in as a lining but the whole outside of the shoe is 100% fake leather. We'll see how they hold up. The outer finish on the cheapos I bought years back started to peel off after a couple years. If the Stacys are a little more durable… ah heck, I'd still rather pay 60% less and replace an old pair of shoes with brand new ones! You can't beat brand new shoes. Even if they're inexpensive, they still look way better than a worn pair of expensive shoes. Bruno, Steve. <<< hint hint, that's what you should buy for less than half the price and you can find free shipping on those too. Rant over. I'm keeping the Stacy Adams' just to see how they hold up but as mentioned, new/cheap is always better than expensive/worn. I kind of feel like I got lied to and ripped off. Live and learn.
