I was favorably impressed with the quality of this jewelry box. The sides and door frame are 9/16-inch solid wood. The back is 3/8-inch plywood. Everything is square and solid. I took off the hanger hardware on the back and attached it directly to the wall with screws. Because it is only 14 1/4-inches wide it wasn’t possible to bridge two studs on 16-inch centers so I screwed the right side, where one pulls the door to open it, to a stud and used drywall anchors to screw the left side to the wall. I didn’t find the magnetic latch to be so strong an to pose a problem opening the door, as some reviewers did. I don’t think it would be a problem even if it were hung on the attached hardware rather than being screwed directly. When we first looked at it on Amazon my wife said she didn’t care that it had an interior light and thought this was a needless feature. After using it once it was hung on the wall, however, she liked it was glad to have the light. The only criticism I have is that the battery compartment is only accessible from the back. I don’t know why such an otherwise nice quality piece has such a poorly designed feature when it would have been so easy to reverse the battery compartment and make it accessible from inside. Given the work it took to get this thing exactly positioned and plumb and screwed to the wall, in part with blind anchors, a job that took about three hours, I doubt that I will be taking it down to replace batteries when they die. It also didn’t come with an over-the-door hanging bracket that the instruction sheet said was enclosed. Since I wasn’t hanging it from a door it didn’t matter to me but it might to someone else. The bottom line is: It’s nice quality and, except for the battery issue, well designed. My wife is happy. She says it has a lot of space and she is amazed at how much she can fit in there with a lot of space left over.

I was very suspicious about how this would arrive and the fit and finish. Once it was unpacked and mounted I was surprised with the appearance and function. Horrible smell, once it aired out for a few days no issues again. Would certainly purchase this item again, AMAZING way to store things and very nice looking wood.

The jewelry case/armoire/cabinet was already assembled, has plenty of storage for the average person, and can be mounted on a door or a wall, and has a full length mirror - all features I love!! I have a very small apartment and floor space is a premium in my place. It cannot be wasted on furniture needlessly. This mounted on my door and saved floor space for things more needed - like desks, chairs, washing machine, table, etc. The mirror is nice and saves me from having to have a separate full length mirror handing on another door or taking up floor space. I am petite in size (5 foot, 2 inches). I have the cabinet hanging on my bedroom door. The lowest hanging setting would be best for me. However, the lowest hanging setting makes the cabinet unstable (for lack of a better wording). When at the lowest hanging setting, the cabinet seems wobbly and like it might fall. So, I have it at the second lowest hanging setting, which is fine for me, too. I can easily get to all of my jewelry. The light however is an issue for people that must look up to get their rings and such. The light is so bright, it is blinding and hurts my eyes. I decided to remove the batteries and go without the light feature. The lighting in my room is good enough that I have no need for the light in the cabinet. There seems to be a quality control issue, though. Some of the batting behind the bracelet/anklet/hook earring space is messed up. I included two pictures of it. It bugs me, but I think it would be more of a hassle to return/exchange than it is worth. Even so, it is something to take into consideration. If I had realized it would or might have that issue, I would not have purchased it.

The media could not be loaded. I soo love this! Great quality and comes with a over the door hangers and it has wall mounting options. I needed this for years! Now I can see all my jewelry and I can hide it so it don’t look messy. Plus a great full mirror. I love the light inside. When I did mount it on the wall though, when I opened tte foot, the door was heavier so it wanted to tip. We added a screw at the bottom to secure it to the wall. It will be an issue when I need to change the light battery though 😬

I really loved that the cabinet was all wood and metal. Hated the mirror was broken possibly in shipment, since it had several holes in the sides of the package. I was so excited to receive it that my husband said he’d try to find a mirror to purchase to replace this one so I wouldn’t have to return it.

EDIT: it’s been about 2-3 days since I’ve received and started using this jewelry cabinet . The magnet that holds the door shut is very weak. The door keeps coming open on its own. When it’s open the light stays on and is running the battery down…. Thought about just keeping it locked , but I shouldn’t have to keep it locked 24/7 for what I paid for this …. Will be contacting customer service for a replacement. I love that this jewelry cabinet already came put together ! I didn’t have to do anything besides put the hangers on the back of it and put it over my closet door… it’s beautiful ! I love it even more in person ! Very spacious and roomy on the inside .. hung up some of my jewelry and I still have tons of room ! I also love that the lights turns on when you open up the door to the cabinet ..
