Masters of trickle-down technology, SRAM has impressed us again with the GX Eagle AXS Upgrade Kit. We're installing this on our bikes right away, ditching the cables and housing that clunk around in our frames all day. Long-awaited, GX AXS Eagle opens the door for a lot more than just dentists to have electronic shifting. GX AXS uses the same proprietary wireless tech as other AXS items, so just like mechanical AXS we'll be able to mix and match the full system. Ahead of the game, the new GX wireless shifting from SRAM enjoys all the years of testing that X01 and XX1 went through. We're especially enjoying the crisp feel of the electronic drivetrain, and that every shift feels the same when the element of human error is taken out of the equation. Easy to adjust, the upgrade kit hooks up to the SRAM AXS app instead of having to drag out the toolbox.

Not the new model with the internal battery. Stock must be old, my battery is doornails dead and won’t take a charge. Original release was 2020, it’s now 2023. I bought this thinking it’s the Eagle GX model, not the AXS one. I didn’t realize SRAM had so many overlapping and conflicting names. Product seems fine but, since it has a bad battery, I can’t test it. ======= Purchased a new battery and am getting the original warrantied. The system has been flawless. I had a mech. GX derailleur and decided to give the AXS version a try. What I found out is for the money the mech. is the better option especially if you have internal cable routing openings in your frame. Yes it's super easy to setup but the cost is really not worth it. Great Product However

I like technology. This was a good upgrade without breaking the bank. The unit wasn’t too difficult to install (I used a You Tube video). Once installed it was simple for me to micro adjust it with my top mounted phone. I like being able to move 2-3 gears at a time for those immediate terrain changes. ... show more

Contrary to another review this kit arrived in a sealed box in new condition. The installation was easy and fast. So far I have only done a 5 mile test ride but it shifts beautifully. I am very pleased to ditch the mechanical setup. My old worn out and arthritic right thumb is very happy with the minimal effort required to shift and I will not miss cable adjustments and cruder shifting of the mechanical system I have been using. The media could not be loaded. Easy to install. I received a defective battery. It would not charge nor power up the derailleur. I would have had to uninstall and return it, and reorder to receive a new unit - no replacement battery. I decided to just order a new battery. After receiving the new battery it worked fine and I was able to adjust it. ... show more

At $600 I won't say it's the "best" bang for the buck. LOL. However, it was easy to setup, works well with 10-52 cassette and a 30T oval chainring. It gives you almost instantaneous shifts. I love the feature where you can program the lever on how you want to shift up or down. I set it so I push up when going "up" hill to go to an easier gear, and push down when going "down" hill to go to a harder gear, which is the opposite of the default setting. ... show more
