Description

The Paranormal Jazz Bass ’54 turns fiction into reality, combining the easy playability and tonal versatility of the J Bass with the classic looks of its older sibling, the Precision Bass (around 1954, the P Bass transitioned from a slab body to a contoured body). This bass is easy to play thanks to its “C”-shaped neck profile and narrow 1.5” nut width and offers out-of-this-world tone courtesy of its dual Fender-Designed alnico single-coil pickups. Further refinements include a vintage-style bridge and tuning machines, dual concentric volume and tone controls, and a sprawling ’50s-style pickguard that transports the Jazz Bass back in time. • Where do I start!
Color: Black
There is nothing wrong with the stock bass i think its the best I’ve played….its been on many gigs and has been a work horse for me. I love everything about it. The Neck the gold anodized pick guard THE DUEL NOBS love them so much tonal space. The fit and finish was unbelievable i can’t believe it is a squier i know they have had some QC issues but these basses are flawless. Neck dive is almost not there i think it might be because the pick guard helps just a bit. Being the tinkerer i am ive made a few MODS Im here to say what fits and works…. DiMarzio Ultra Jazz pickups fit no need to remove material simple drop in and solder. Hip Shot kickass bridge fits no modifications needed Ray Ross bridge fits no modifications needed Wilkinson bridge fits no modifications needed New pots….. that was my issue i wanted a a capacitor change and the metal plate does not fit the “fender CTS pots” the pot shaft OD were a bit bigger so i filed the ID holes of the plate to have them fit. The knobs fit the pots though so no change there thankfully. I didn't have to change anything but i tinker….put a 0.47uf orange drop in the neck and a .022uf orange drop in the neck. Gonna add a hip shot D runner soon. See how that goes. ... show more

  • Crappy electronics
Color: Black
Great concept and great look and a good price. Unfortunately, the quality leaves a lot to be desired. The neck is thicker than a typical Jazz bass, so maybe not the best for beginners. The electronics were terrible. Lack of shielding and grounding provided a constant buzz, pickups were on the weak side, cable kept falling out of the input jack. I bought this with the idea of customizing it but I quickly realized I'd be replacing pretty much everything except the body, so it wasn't work the time and expense. I had to say it, but every Made In China Fender or Squier instrument I have played has been cheap junk. You would be better off spending the same amount to buy an Indonesian-made Squier or Ibanez, or a used Made In Mexico Fender or Squier. ... show more

  • Very Nice Bass
Color: Black
Incredible value here . The pickups are a very adjustable and the tone is phenomenal. Once you set it up and dial it in wowww!!! The low end is punchy . Overall love this bass. I’m a 20 year bass player. I own many bass guitars. Buy this you won’t regret !

  • Worthy add to your collection of bass guitars
Color: Black
A well crafted bass guitar. With adjustments, plays really well, not as fine as my vintage Jazz, but worthy of taking on the road and playing live. Might be a little too much for a beginner, as it is heavy and plays fast. Perfect for a moderate player or professional.

  • Great bass for the price.
Color: Black
This bass is fantastic if you want a cheaper bass than the regular Fenders.
