Shelves are fine for what I want. Would not be sturdy enough for heavy objects. Some of the directions to assemble it seemed like they were for a different shelving unit. I could figure it out to put together, but some of the things they talked about were not included and I had some screws left.

The media could not be loaded. I’ve done so many different things with these shelves and customized what’s on them in so many ways and they’ve been such a great accent in my living room. It’s actually insane how it makes my entire living room look super fancy with that accent piece.

The media could not be loaded. I love the wooden look of the shelf along with the black metal bars, it fits our home very well, and holds a lot of books for our corner!

This shelf system works well for a tight corner that we wanted to use for house plants. It fit perfectly between a narrow glass block window and the corner. At a glance it looks good. On closer inspection the shelves look like inexpensive particle board with a faux-wood covering. The reason for the 4 vs. 5 star rating is an assembly. It is generally easy to put together. The problem is that some of the holes in the metal pieces don’t line up properly and take some gentle forcing to align. I also had a problem with two of the machine bolts spinning in the tapped hole so they didn’t grab at all. The shelves seem to be sturdy in spite of this problem. ... show more
