This is a really good quality costume. The outfit part is a thick felt material. It’s not very giving so if in doubt order a size up. It does run on the long side but that’s ok. The mask is almost like a compressed styrofoam but it’s sturdy. The eyes move and the colors really pop. Great value for the money. My son can easily see out of the mouth and he feels comfortable in it.

My 8 year old son wore this costume with mixed results. The good: Its well made. The brown robe is made of thick material and both the noose and belt rope were soft. My son is smaller for his age (he usually wears a small) but the medium fit him perfectly. The gloves were also a hit (loooong, creepy fingers...lol). The hood is made of the same material as the robe. The mask is where we experienced some difficulty. Its hilariously oversized and, though its made from a Styrofoam-like material, it held up well on a rainy Halloween night. The fit is the issue. Since you look through the mouth, it sits at a funny angle and can make it hard to see. He said it felt uncomfortable and, about halfway through trick-or-treating, took it off. The hood kept turning to the right so we were constantly adjusting it. It probably would have been better if it was all 1 piece that had a ball cap piece underneath to keep it in place. The strap around the back of his head was not effective and it wasn't comfortable on his face (some sort of foam padding maybe needed?) Overall, he did really like this costume and it is made with quality (for an Amazon, costume in a bag) materials. Adjustments aee definitely in order for the mask to stay on and not be uncomfortable to wear.

This costume was perfect for my son. The quality was amazing for the price , and his costume was unique compared to everyone else’s. At first we thought it was be too big for him but once we put it on it was perfect. He normally wears a size 6 and he’s a little tall for his age.

I bought this costume at last minute and was so happy that it was delivered two days later. My grandson loved it and looks better in than the pic. I only had one fixable problem with pumpkin head . Strap needed to be tightened . I did not see any costumes like grandsons and had so many compliments. It was so cute on and we were both very happy.

Pros: When this costume arrived we were impressed with the relative quality of this versus other costumes we shopped for. In our area Halloween is typically very cold and having a costume with plenty of room for a warm outfit is important and this one has that. The mask is very well colored and the mesh provides lots of visibility without losing the overall illusion - great for non-flash photos indoor and outdoors. The hood seems very disproportionate but the effect is great. I didn't notice any sewing issues but there is so much material, you'd have to dig for it. Cons: There is a concern that the ropes can be tightened but we were able to remedy that. The pants were short so we had to coordinate pants and shoes closely. The gloves are very small on the palm and are difficult to keep on, no stretch or smugness whatsoever. Mask is made of styrofoam and could easily crack with any rough use. The strap is lightly glued to the mask and mesh so it came off immediately. We didn't have time or materials to remedy this so it turned into a big scarecrow costume very quickly which was disappointing, especially for the kids. This seems to be quite a problem as I saw other reviews mention the same thing (i.e. "First of all, this costume looks awesome but the 1st time my son tried it on the elastic broke on the mask.") I wouldn't put this on a kid with breathing or anxiety as the opening fits at the eyes and is made to have the mask 'chin' covering the child's mouth. Lastly, kids with glasses, not a great pick.
