This is a great case but don't do what I did and make the mistake of wiping the inside of the screen protector because it's got a sticky spot that is for your fingerprint and if you wipe it, you mess it up and then it's not any good. I plan to rebuy this phone case later on closer to Summer when I needed a good waterproof one. But it is a really good one and it did not hamper the sound quality at all. I had high hopes, but the fitment of the case was terrible. The buttons are in the wrong spot. The volume down button doesn't line up at all, and the other two are on the very edge of the buttons. The camera opening is misaligned but at least doesn't obscure the 1x photos. The flash opening is also off and blocks half the light. ... show more

With a new pixel 9 Pro, I am quite concerned about protecting my investment from accidental drops causing expensive repairs. Also, I wanted some covering for the charging port to avoid lint, sand and other trash from clogging it up. Generally this Spidercase is OK. I really don't need waterproofing as shown in the ads, as I don't intend to deliberately take the cellphone underwater. However, the possibility of liquid spills is more realistic. So the waterproofing is a plus, but not a major one in my case. But here are a couple issues which caused me hesitation of recommending this Spidercase to others. 1. The installation instructions state that you should not attach a screen protective shield to the cellphone. Presumably, the screen protection offered by Spidercase is sufficient. When I examined the Spidercase screen protector, it looked and felt thin like cellophane. Would that be adequate to protect the screen from shattering? I don't know the answer but I am not about to test and find out. 2. The little elastic door which covers the charging port gets both a plus and a minus from me. On the positive side, the port is undoubtedly watertight, so that liquids are not likely to seep inside. On the negative side, I had difficulty opening the door with my fingers/fingernails. Finally I got a pair of tweezers to wedge in and pull open the door. If Spidercase allowed for a larger /longer "pull handle" which can be opened with fingers only, it would be more helpful. I charge my phone daily and my fingernails are not long. On the other hand, I might just leave the port permanently closed, and use a wireless charger which I would purchase. ... show more

Ran it over with the tractor and no damage to the phone. Only one of the small camera protection lenses cracked, but everything on the phone was fine. Its really dusty and this has definitely helped to keep dust out of the charge port. If it can handle the rear wheel of 10K lbs, I would say it did it jobs. ... show more

    • Interferes with edge gestures

While I do appreciate the protection it offers, the raised edges make important gestures hard. It's difficult to swipe to go back, swipe up to go home, or swipe down to enter one-handed mode. I only use this case when I don't want to get my phone dirty.

Just as title says, perfectly covers phone (Pixel 9 pro XL) with exception to the flash? This means exactly what you think, the cameras, temperature sensor, AND speakers (including phone call speaker) are covered and completely blocked off from the outside world. Speakers: Not the worst but essentially turns the large plastic cover over the back of the phone into the actual speaker. This isn't a joke it causes that piece to vibrate at any moderate to high volume. Cameras: I thought the camera would be okay with the plastic in front of it, but somehow they went REALLY cheap with making it clear and makes zoomed in pictures EXTREAMLY grainy. (the number of microphones on the phone, and the use of some cover for them works perfectly fine even for phone calls) Temperature Sensor: THE WORST PART: TEMPERATURE SENSORS DO NOT WORK THROUGH CLEAR MATERIALS. Yes this case makes the temperature sensor you were hoping to use a conversation starter instead of an actual tool. As for other complaints of dust, ease of use with swipe navigation controls, and the finger print scanner. Dust: if you do plan on using this case, TREAT IT LIKE SURGERY. if you do everything possible to make suer there's no dust, you should never have a dust problem. (kinda the point of an IP6) Navigation: if you are having a VERY hard time there are setting that help make it more consistent, and if you're still having problems, switch to 3 button navigation. Fingerprint Scanner: Only real complaint is how dumb it is, they should've just made the whole screen sticky, but they just have a circle over the scanner. Works perfect for me (If you are having problems, redo your fingerprint LIKE THE MANUAL TELLS YOU TO DO) Overall for being a waterproof/dustproof case, its perfect. If you're fine with loosing some of the premium features (kinda the WHOLE REASON YOU CHOSE THIS specific PHONE) ... show more
