My daughter got me hooked on these, after I initially had my doubts about the shoes. They are my absolute favorite shoes to wear now! Let me just give you first-time Sperry wearers some tips, though. Yes, you will get blisters when you first wear them. It's happened to almost everyone I know who wear them. It's sort of like breaking them in. I remember complaining to my daughter about this, and asking how in the heck she can wear them. She assured me that if I gave it a day or two (and wore a bandaid), I wouldn't have any problems after. I know that sounds like some insane ritual to wear a pair of shoes, but it worked. Now, they're extremely comfortable. They are a bit narrow though, but my other daughter with very wide feet hasn't had any issues with this specific style. I think I bumped her up 1/2 a size, however, and they fit her perfectly. That said, I wanted to mention that there are some inconsistencies with Amazon's stock of Sperrys. I've ordered a few now, and never had any issues until just recently. -The shoes arrived with different "Sperry" stamps on the back of the heel. One literally looked like it was engraved and stamped, but partially crooked and faded. The other shoe's stamp was darker and looked more typical of a Sperry logo. I'm not sure if I was sent knock offs (or just one knock off?), or just a defective pair? Whichever the case, Amazon was great with sending a replacement, and that pair is perfect. The shoebox lid was really dusty, which is kind of odd, but the shoes were in perfect condition (Even have the plastic shoehorns inside the shoes), so I can't complain. Highly recommend these with the tips mentioned. Trust me, if you do get a blister, put a bandaid on, and hang tight. You just gotta break 'em in. ... show more

This was the least favorite color I of the shoes I ordered and at first I thought the fit was a bit snug, but the shoes were so comfortable that I could not resist keeping them. I have a long, narrow, flat foot, which was a concern with sizing. I was also concerned my feet would overheat if I wore them barefoot and they might smell. However, they broke in quickly and don't feel so snug now, and I guess the color has grown on me because of the quality and comfort of the shoe. If my feet get warm, I slip out of them, but my feet seldom overheat. I slip these on everywhere (without socks) - around the house, to run out to the yard or the store, or all day shopping on my feet. They have a foam footbed, a soft lining on the sides, excellent traction, forgive water drops, and have a bit of a curve to them rather than a shape that's flat to the ground. I have already looked for them in other colors or similar styles. There are many shoes with similar styles or at this price, even by this brand, but the quality of this pair was absolutely the best. ... show more

    • A Femine Twist on a Classic
I ordered this shoe from Amazon because the price was almost $20 cheaper than any major retail store. I could find a knock off easily for about the same price as Amazon but it's not worth it. Sperry has a reputation as being comfortable and classic go to shoes. I bought these after months of deliberation. My big concern was, "What can I wear these with?" I am a girlie girl and found that the Bluefish were just a little too bulky for my taste. I really wanted a comfortable shoe that I could wear with shorts or skinny jeans. I really like the all year versatility of this shoe. Be advised that the color of this shoe is significantly lighter than what is pictured. I didn't mind because I actually like the light tan color better than the "Oat" pictured. As far as the fit, I ordered my accurate size and have no complaints. It does give a little bit of room but my foot is a little wider (not wide enough for wide width size) so I found these to fit me perfectly. The shoe is surprisingly light and comfortable. I was able to wear it for 10 hours + in Philadelphia while walking several miles. I suggest getting some of those socks by Sperry just because I hate when my feet sweat and walking or wearing these shoes for several hours does make your feet hot. Overall, I think it was an excellent buy and I will definitely look into alternative styles and colors in the future. ... show more

I saw these in a magazine and loved them, so I read a lot of reviews before making my purchase. Most of the reviews said they ran large so I ordered an 8.5 (I usually wear 8.5-9). They are a little roomy but so worth it because they are so cute and comfortable! I didn't know the insole would be so comfy, definitely a plus. I tried "tightening" the leather straps to make them more snug, but they leather is either disconnected or tied down at the front before the laces and cannot be tightened. The metal brackets that serve as the hole for the leather hurt a little at the widest part of my foot if I lace them too light, so I just consider them for what they are- slip ons. Four/five stars because of the lacing issue. Overall they are very comfortable, they provide support for my back (I have sciatica), and look amazing. ... show more

These shoes are fantastic. I was also looking for something to wear every day, with skinny jeans, alternative to ballet flats, early 30s and wanting to take better care of my body. These shoes are perfect. Feel really supportive and comfortable. The light oat color is really versatile. I usually wear a 9, and ordered a 8.5 as suggested by the website. I'll tell the truth that when the first got here they were *so* tight and I was really worried. But after a few weeks of wear, they fit great and are super comfy. Just take some time to break them in. I also suggest wearing them with no-show socks. Overall, love these shoes. ... show more

So, I love Sperry Top-Siders but always felt they looked a little too masculine. The Angelfish style is absolutely perfect! You get all the classic, preppy style that Sperry is known for but they still look cute and feminine. I know there is great debate about the sizing (just right, too large, etc). I usually wear somewhere between an 8-9 (normal width) so I took a gamble and got the 8.5 even though I was worried they might be too big. They are actually perfect and I am so glad I did not go with the 8 because as with many shoes, you kind of have to break these in to get them to fit your foot exactly. I think the 8 would have been just too uncomfortable for way too long before they stretched to fit my foot so the 8.5 was just right. I highly recommend this brand and style. Enjoy! ... show more

The toe area tapers in a bit so the 8's were too short and the 8 1/2 were too wide- really liked them so I was disappointed. I have a narrow foot so th 8 1/2 would be ok for someone with a wider foot
