The media could not be loaded. I enjoy using these type of candles for my magic Rituals and spells or for prayers. As a person who uses lots of candles, its always difficult to find 1. Candles that wont agravate my allergies 2. Vibrant colors and quality. A lovely friend and colleague shared her amazing experience. i figured, why not try it for myself. I am in love with Exquisite Candles! They are truely the best in every way. Drippless, odorless, clean burning so they leave less of a carbon foot print, colors are outstanding, the quality and price is the absolute best anywhere! Another friend of mine makes candles, and she said honestly, it's less expensive and better quality then even making them! I am a practicing Witch, as such, I go through a massive quantity of candles. I stock an apothecary chest with candles for my altar, spells, meditation, etc. In the past, I have purchased familiarly mass-produced chime candles. In comparison, this gem of a stockpile was cost-effective (in fact you are getting quite a bit more with your money), and the candles themselves are quite sturdy when you take into account that they are a half-inch in diameter, unlike the common mas produced chime candle which are about 4 and a half inches tall, these are closer to 6 inches. And burn steadily for as long as I need them (almost 90 minutes). Now lets talk about colors. I buy my white candles in bulk all on there own, and prefer to get the Shabbos candles (72 a box for 10 bucks) for that purpose. Black - Is indeed True black. Blue - True Blue Green - A little on the muted side. Orange - Vibrant Pink - A bright shade, not soft (Watermelon) Yellow - Lemon Purple - Indigo really, easy to confuse with Blue. Red - Some people have said its more of a wine or Burgundy, and unlike other brands that give you a fire engine red, this shade is closer to a Blood Red (which I adore). The perfect size for spell candles- they burn clean and even, no crazy dripping or black smoke and unscented which is ideal for a spell candles. Love these and will buy again

I’m pretty sure I’ve purchased nearly every type of chime/spell candle Amazon has to offer. With the exception of some of the more expensive well-known brands, I’ve ALWAYS been disappointed by these multi-packs. The candles are always either broken, super sheer, not truly 1/2 an inch wide and thus too skinny for ceramic chime holders, or the colors are dull/ugly. I was pleasantly surprised by this set. It’s not flawless by any means, but I’ll choose these over any of the other packs of 40+ candles I’ve purchased in the past. I deducted one star because some colors don’t quite match the listing photos/description. The box includes four of each color shown in the photo I’ve attached, but I felt showing two of each was sufficient. Now for a breakdown of what’s good, and what’s not so good about this set. (I’ve been practicing The Craft for twenty years. I know my candles.) *Always remember to trim your wicks every time you light or re-light any candle. …… WHAT’S GOOD: - Not a single broken candle in the bunch. - Colors are mostly very solid (not sheer). The white and blue aren’t quite as good as the rest, but they’re not bad. - Black is *super* black. - Red is unmistakably red. Blood red. (I love this, others may not.) - Yay! Brown candles! You don’t get brown in most of these cheaper sets. - Truly half an inch thick. Thicker than other sets that claim to be half an inch, but then don’t sit straight in holders. - Green is nice. Older reviews had issues with green. No issues here. - Burns clean, but can be used to drip. …… WHAT’S NOT SO GOOD: - A few of them are slightly bent (see blue and purple in photo). Not the end of the world, but will affect dripping. - No grey candles. The box and description show four grey candles. I received two shades of brown. - “Gold” candles? The yellows are a lovely true yellow, and the orange candles are a great solid orange. I suppose the four yellow/orange candles are supposed to represent gold? They’re similar in hue to marigold flowers. - Pinks are a watermelon candy color, and purples are a pastel lavender. No baby pink, no deep purple. Fine with me, but may not suit others. All in all, these are great for the price. Certainly better than those sets that come in flat plastic trays. These come in a cardboard box, which I prefer as an environmentalist. ... show more

Upon first opening the box, I was not pleased. These candles are dark, dark brown, not black. I contacted the seller, who promptly replied and offered a return and refund, but I opted to keep them. Over the next several days, I burned quite a few and they burn quite nicely. I also noticed that the little bit of drip that was present on several was black, not dark brown. So, I decided to turn them over an open flame to lightly melt the outer wax and now have beautiful black candles! While some may mind the extra step, I did not. In fact, I always feel that putting your own vibrations and intentions into any tool makes it more magickally charged and powerful; not to mention having an opportunity to connect with the Element of Fire, more! I hadn't been planning on purchasing again, however, with the wonderful price, coupled with the way they burn, I will be purchasing again and doing the same to make them the black I desire.
