I've had my eye on the NX6 ever since it was released, but I already had a new DX6, and there was no reason to upgrade. Well, the right gimbal died and I needed a new transmiter because I fly everyday. The NX6 is a significant class ahead of the DX6. I'm very pleased with it so far. The wi-fi setup, registration, and software update went smoothly. The rechargeable internal battery and USB storage is a great feature. The color display is excellent.     • watch its operation charging, general operation.
My radio does not turn on and off correctly, most of the time I have to press and hold the power button for a long time and this does not guaranteed that it going to stay on or shut down when removing my finger. Charging the charging indication light turns off but this does not mean it is charged, even though the indication is the radio is charged. My friends mostly have the 8 or better, as I should have purchased. I bought the 6 only for Spektrum telemetry, I am still debating whether to send it back and just upgrade...I need functional telemetry, my JRs wont support this. ... show more

Well my old transmitter took a dump so I went with the new Nx6 transmitter. It took a while to figure it out since I am not a technical guru. Thank god for utube. Works great you can bind models which are on the program list so much easier than the old transmitter. Works great and has so many features ... show more

    • Not a walk in the park for Newb
I expected seamless everything, but that's not the case. There is in fact a learning curve. Id consider it like learning apple or windows again. once you got it everything kidna falls into place. unlimited support @ certain forums online from the Horizon. After I applied myself a bit I been very pleased. Just the distance upgrade from my cheap dxe is worth the price. The sticks feel sweet and nice color. many cool features and fun to mess with it all after you learn. The software's not perfect but they do meet you halfway and gives you everything you could want from a TX. I only wish they replaced the bind switch with a as3x knob. I received this and had battery issues right off the bat. Then I could not charge it and other issues. I contacted Horizon and they replaced it free of charge. I have used it since with success. It is impossible to find programming information for the transmitter. I contacted HH again and was told to use DX6 settings. Why did I have to contact them to find that out? As in all transmitters, the throttle gimbal sticks. It is an easy fix with a small piece of teflon tape (WORKS FANTASTIC NOW!!) Unless you have the more expensive hall gimbals, your throttle will probably stick on any transmitter. Over all, I like the wifi and the folding antennae. The included transmitter settings for many models is great in theory but, for example, the 230 s V2, you cannot adjust the trim and there is no 120 s2 settings included. The dx6 settings seem just a little off. Given the chance, I would by a better one or one that has been out longer. Also, I have had nothing but issues using this with Realflight 9.5. ... show more
