I recently purchased these when i was looking to replace my beach shoes. I researched a number of offerings from different companies and contacted several. I will say that Speedo's customer service was one of the quickest, though what they provided in speed they lacked in accuracy. But I found the ratings for these shoes to be high on most websites and users seemed enthusiastic. I have wider feet and i was worried about fit, but these were fine. They're comfortable and well-made. I like the tab loops in the front and back, they allow ease in putting the shoes on and taking them off. Speedo also included an interesting little hanger to use when letting them dry. The inserts come out making cleaning them easy. The soles are thicker than some of the other companies' offerings and I found the traction pattern good when i was walking on wet and algae-covered rocks in Hawaii. I wear size 9.5 US,I bought the 8 for a tight fit but could barely get my foot in. I returned and ordered a 9 thinking it may be too small, but it is perfect. Great fit, snug so it won't come loose at the heel. I bought another style previous year also by speedo and the same size 9 was too loose the heel always came out, these won't have that problem. minimalist design, yet accomplish perfectly what they are supposed to do: protect you feet from sharp stuff in the water... or over hot sand, or running from the beach to grab something from the car, or walking to grab a bite at the beach food truck. They are not flimsy, yet not clunky, and I feel I'll be using these for years to come. While fine sand did enter the shoes, or maybe it's course salt, my feet were more protected then some of the other cruise passengers with no-name cheap product shoes. I actually saw peoples very cheap water shoes fall apart while navigating the rocky entrance to the beach, and mine had no issues. I don't know how long the speedo water shoes will last, but they did not chafe my feet, protected them from slipping on wet rocks, and outside of some fine sand intrusion, hosed off and dried in about eight hours. ... show more

I like the design and fit. At first I thought they were a little tight at the top, but then after a few minutes I really liked them. They won't come off, unless I take them off and they are very comfortable. Plus it's a brand I can trust. I wear them around the house, because they have white souls and won't scuff my floors.
