I am 5'4", 185 lbs., 44" bust, 37" waist, 44" hips, a 36H, and usually opt for an L in shapewear. I got an XL and L in these in the cafe au lait color, and it fit great everywhere for the most part. The XL was the better size. The color was great for the semi-tan white skin I have; most colors are so pale that they show through which these didn't. My only issues were that it is a little long for my torso (came right up to the base of my boobs) which caused it to roll down, and it almost felt like tearing when pulling them up and down. The nice thing is that the torso being too long was basically remedied by adjusting it to not be pulled up as high, and this didn't cause it to wrinkle at all. Highly recommend!! ... show more

I don't usually write reviews on products, but I thought this might help a fellow bride to be one day. I had been looking tirelessly for some heavy-duty shapewear to wear under my very unforgiving crepe wedding dress. I found these and ordered them along with a few different pairs to try. As someone who has owned their fair share of Spanx, I'll admit I ALMOST didn't even try these on when I took them out of the bag. I felt the material and immediately thought there is no way something this soft and lightweight is going to disguise what 6 months of quarantine has done to this plump body. I must have been feeling uncharacteristically optimistic because against my better judgment, I shimmied into these babies and prayed for a miracle. I hesitantly approached my full-length mirror, and HOT DAMN there was no turning back. Every lump, bump, pudge, and dimple was magically smoothed over, and I didn't feel like I would pass out at any given moment if I were to wear them for an extended period of time. The built-in "hiney shaper" that is meant to give you two distinct cheeks might be my favorite part of these bad boys. It seems as though all of my other shapewear gives you a firm derriere, but at the price of having one enormous butt cheek with no definition. The top did roll down a little, but I believe that has more to do with me refusing to go a size up than the actual product itself. There is a seam that runs down the back of each leg, so make a note of that if you're wearing something skin tight. I would not have noticed it but for turning around in the mirror-I couldn't feel it at all. Shout out to the Spanx team for making these. I was so pleasantly surprised when I tried these on, and I would encourage anyone looking for a product like this to give these a try. ... show more

So I I can’t complain about Spanx. Great quality, but I think I got the wrong size. I bought a small and I weigh 120 - 123 lbs depending on the day and my diet. I was busting out of these and it gave me a muffin top. I will be honest and say I’m flabby. I haven’t worked out at all during COVID and here we are 2 years later. Anyway, if my stomach/sides were more toned these would have worked I suspect. So for now I’ll wear them with my babydoll dresses in the summer. Taking a star off for sizing.     • Beware of size chart

I will start this off by saying these are full on shapewear shorts, so they’re meant to be tight and suck everything in. I ordered a medium based on the size chart (I’m 5’2”, 135lbs). As I said, I know they’re supposed to be tight, but these were way too tight to be a medium. They were so tight in the leg that they created a crease/roll in the middle of my back thigh (and not where the short ended). They also come up to the natural waist (belly button), which causes a muffin top type effect because of the snugness. Neither of these are what one looks for when you’re just trying to smooth out a lower tummy area while trying to keep seams at bay. I feel like I’d have to order at least 2 sizes up to avoid this from happening, but that’d probably compromise the compression I’m looking for in the lower tummy region. ... show more

Not the spanx i remember. The material is thin, feels like it will rip if you stretch it to much. Sizes run small. The top rolls down making them extremely uncomfortable

I show horses, and most of our competition apparel is made to be stretchy yet extremely form fitting. There is no avoiding panty lines and every bump and lump is visible. I decided to try these because I recognized the Spanx name. I was not disappointed. Definitely prevents panty lines and smooths out fleshy bits even under the most clingy clothes. Waist band comes above navel; legs extend to mid-thigh. No issues with rolling at either end. I did order one size up, and glad I did, as otherwise would be too restrictive.
