If you are a Spam consumer and you appreciate the flavor of maple syrup then you would enjoy this product. I was actually reading some of the history of Spam and it was very interesting. The history said that the company way back when mainly used only the pork shoulder because it was a tougher , cheaper meat? Then it some how got involved in the war and feeding our soldiers and ended up in other countries where it was considered a delicacy? It has a nice history to it . I purchased it to sneak my furbabys medicine into. It does have a nice flavor to it and I can see where it could be quiet handy to have on your shelf as a long term storage against shortages and power outages as you can eat it right out of the container. ... show more

I had a spam sandwich in Hawaii years ago and never forgot how much I liked it. I remember eating a lot of Spam when I first moved out of the parents house ( never went back!) and could only afford food like Spam and chicken that I could cook several ways by just using that one chicken. This flavor of Spam was nice. My husband grilled it and grilled pineapple slices ( from a can) and toasted a hotdog bun. Added American cheese until melted and put it all together and yummy!! My chihuahuas like it too. The price fluctuates I have noticed as well as my weight, so I will have it not often until after the holidays. Nice holiday stocking stuffer? So I would recommend buying it and do add pineapple if you get the maple flavor. ... show more

I sliced and Cynthia and put it in a skillet in fried it and then I added a half a cup of water to it and it kind of mixed with the fact that was in there made a nice sauce fort. This has lots of peppery get it it’s really really taste totally different from any other spam I’ve ever had. I mean it kind of does it taste like spam it taste like you’re eating a Spanish steak and you’re kind of food so it was really good will buy again ... show more

The best part is you will not beat the price. If this was in the grocery store it'd cost 2x as much. We've had this flavor before and while subtle (a huge plus), it could be better. The taste is by no means a game changer. Fries well and is worth the price. I would like to buy several if I could

Flavor Name: HORMEL Bacon Size: 12 Ounce (Pack of 12)
The taste is like bacon and less like spam. I personally do not crave spam but I do find it a nice alternative when I get board with every day breakfasts or meals. It's great camping and keeps well on the shelf for emergency needs. My closest market is 45 minutes away and might as well be a million miles in bad weather. Spam is always on our shelves and can be quite good when incorporated in other dishes like Fried Rice. It's good fried on a breakfast sandwich as well. it's just part of our pantry essentials you might want to add some to yours too... j ... show more
