This perfectly stores my Pheanoo Brand sound bar under the top shelf of my bookshelf where the TV is on the very top of the furniture and the subwoofer fits under. (see pic). I like that the rails extend beyond the shelf part. I could imagine hanging something from there. That gap is 7/16” if you need to feed something through it. The 2nd shelf in the set shelf perfectly stores more junk I need handy on another shelf making more room for shorter objects. This is the only under the shelf unit I was able to find that has an open and on both sides. I needed the open end to accommodate whatever sound bar I happened to get. I wanted it to be able to accommodate a make/model longer than the shelf, and this was perfect. It’s well-made, easy to put together. My PCA put both together in about five minutes. I wish it cost a little less for what it is, but given it’s the only one I could find if it’s design to suit my needs, it was worth it. Definitely durable and sturdy — not at all flimsy, doesn’t rock or sway, despite eacb shelf’s light weight. The joints at the screws are firm. The metal appears black matte powder coated but it has a smooth feel to the finish. The wood is a little rough and “rustic” like what you might expect in a cabin — but it’s not going to give you slivers. It’s just not a smooth finish is all. I like the different variegated brown colors of the wood.

I wasn't expecting such low quality wood. They call it "wood board" but it feels light and hollow, almost like balsa wood. It also seems to be untreated, so I'd be scared to get any moisture on them. Assembly was straight forward but the boards are not predrilled for the screws. I guess because the wood board is very soft, you can easily just use the self-tapping screws without holes. I didn't trust the wood board not to split, so I drilled holes in it myself just to be be safe. I did notice that one of the boards was a bit warped, so it did not sit flush to base. The shelf ended up being slightly wobbly, but not terrible. In the end, these work as advertised, and helped create more space on my shelf. For the price, you can't be too disappointed.

I got two of these and put them side by side for a longer shelf. Assembly was easy and straight forward and the shelves seem very sturdy. I am able to put several pounds of weight on them as I am using it mainly for canned and jarred goods. The wood holds up much better than the wire shelves as they will bend and sag with weighty items. I am so glad to have found these.

There are a lot of options for under shelf storage, but these were by far the best looking. So much better than the plastic or metal ones. The installation was easy to follow, though you do have to screw the metal hook into the wood.

I was not expecting the wood to be unfinished. I figured the wood must be soft if they didn't put pilot holes in and show the instructions using just a regular screw driver. It was so soft in fact that just pressing the screw against the wood started to create a hole. One of the screws slipped a bit as a screwed it in, so that side was not holding strong and trying to back it out only made it worse. Also, even though I was holding it tightly to the lip of the metal to make sure the wood was resting on the metal lip, it still pulled away as I screwed it in since I did not get my screw perfectly centered and in straight. I ended up duct taping over the edge to hold it together. I would not trust this to hold anything fragile. And I don't think it'll hold up long term hanging. I ended up duct taping the other side as well just to ensure that it would hold. Had I known these things I probably would have ordered something different, unfortunately another reviewer mentioned these issues the same day I ordered so I didn't see it till after. The metal brackets are nice, so like them I will probably replace the wood with something nicer since I have a drill and can put pilot holes in a harder wood that will last longer. I would definitely recommend looking for a different option.

I am pleasantly surprised with the sturdiness of these shelves. The wood is light, but once the shelves are put together, they are strong. They are not pre-drilled so it will take patience and push to put the screws in. They work perfectly to use in cabinets with weird shelf spacing. I definitely recommend this product!
