UPDATED (update below): As an athlete, I have a bought a lot of sweatpants in my life. Buying in person at a store is okay, but they never have enough kinds to choose from. So like everyone, I go online. But buying online has its own set of problems and can be hit or miss. Anyway, I've had good luck with this Southpole brand though. Bought 4 more pairs of them about 2 months ago. I wanted to use them awhile before I did my review. This time round, I did a bunch of research but still came back to Southpole in the end. They are as good as others and the price is always the cheapest out of all the ones I look at. I got the ones with cargo pockets this time. As always, I bought them bigger because sweatpants always shrink. These did not shrink quite as much as my past Southpole sweatpants, but still shrunk down to fit pretty good. I'm wearing a pair now. Super comfy. I wear them every day. Anyway, I know they'll shrink more, the more I use them/wash them. Things I don't like about these latest ones. The drawstrings on these cargo sweats are not as beefy as my past Southpole sweats. Also the drawstrings on these are about 6 inches shorter. Not happy about that. Then again, I only use the drawstrings occasionally, so not a big deal for me. But might be a deal breaker for some of you. Btw, the draw stings suck on all 4 pair I bought so I know it's not just a fluke. Southpole is getting more cheapskate I guess. Other than that, I love their sweats. I'm hoping these new ones last as long as my other 4 Southpole from several years ago. Which are still going strong after 3.5yrs of heavy use. I wear sweats everyday instead of jeans. Glad to have these new ones. I of course just demoted my old sweats to being worn only when I do yardwork, house remodeling stuff, classic car restoration (which I do nearly every day), etc. dirty jobs. UPDATE: i'm two more months down the road and i'm still lovin' these sweats. and they have now shrunk down a tiny bit more and have become nearly a perfect fit. i should probably do what people used to do with their jeans and pull them straight out of the washing machine and wear them outside in the hot sun until they shrink-dry completely onto your body to form a perfect fit (and a perfect fit forever after). lol anyway, i'm gonna bump these up from my original 4 stars to 5 since i'm totally lovin' them. love them even more than the old 'non-cargo-pocket' ones i bought and wore forever (and am still wearing). oh yeah, and again, i happen to be wearing these review sweats as i type this. not an amazing occurrence or anything since i wear these cargo pocket ones all the time now. UPDATE 9-28-23: My review above is for the fleece sweat pants only... just saw that the seller is now listing a Tech-Woven Nylon variety too. Dude, just start a different listing for those... why do sellers have to put so many varieties into a single listing?! Anyway, still loving my fleece sweatpants. They are holding up amazingly. I've stopped wearing jeans pretty much, just living large in my cargo sweats 24/7. That's no joke. They're my main pants in the day now, and my friggin PJ's at night too. Just one benefit of being old, and married... no one to have to impress anymore. My dress code is just all about me and my comfort now. lol By the way, watch those big phones in those cargo pockets. I have a really sturdy phone case, otherwise I would have ruin my phone by bumping it on stuff when it's in my big cargo pockets. At least the cargo pockets are big and can fit the latest big phones.

These sweatpants are pretty good. The soft cotton feels good, providing a cozy fit perfect for lounging or running errands. It took me some time to fins some proper sweatpants that have that cuffed tapered feeling at the ankles so glad I was able to find this picked up a couple pairs. For longevity id say these will probably last about a year or year and half with constant use. I just make sure to re-up every winter. If you're after comfort and style, look no further – these sweatpants are a must-have!

These are super comfy and high quality. Fleece line. Beware they run super small. I wear XL. Bought xxl. Still small. They are wearable but small Skinny sweatpants are not cool

A friend of mine told me about these sweats a few months ago because of the extra big sizing. i wear a 3xl in other brands and they are tight on me like leggings. but the 3xl (xb big and tall) has so much room for a comfortable fit. they feel amazing and are warm too. fully recommend these pants for everyone and getting a couple pairs as Christmas presents for guys on my list.

It’s sometimes hard for a shorter guy to find sizes I can wear without a bunching up at the ankles or other weird fits. I am so out of shape also from a work injury. I’ve been down for 8 months stuck to a bed and used to be able to work out 5-6 days a week so it’s packed on rather fast. I’m about to go through a surgery and needed some sweats and shorts for after the surgery for physical therapy and also appts until I can get back to my size. So I got these at a pretty good deal (the suggested retail on the tag is $40.00 - definitely not what you’re paying here) to get through this time. I didn’t expect for them to be so cozy (the inside is so, so soft) and fit so well for a shorter guy like me. I’m 5’5 and it’s hard to find men’s sweats but these have a wide range of options and I loved finding these in a 30 inseam length. I went with a Large size and I’m about 220 right now while normally I fluctuate 130-140 and wear a small. So it’s pretty true to size in my opinion. I originally ordered a Large and XL in black to try both. The large was perfect and I sent the XL back to exchange for another large. I hope these stay around the same price point so I can keep buying them as I slim down after surgery recovery in physical therapy and moving around more before I can get back into the gym. I wish they had these in shorts also.

The first couple times I wore them they were nice, very soft, cozy, and warm. I also like the fit as it’s pretty slim. However, after a couple washes these pilled a lot, and now look pretty trashy.

I wanted some cargo sweatpants and after looking at many options on other websites, I settled on these. I read the reviews and saw a few people complaining about these pilling, but they weren't too expensive, so I decided to give them a try. I've only worn them once, but they were comfortable and fit me well. After two washes, I have not noticed any pilling. I plan on ordering more of these in other colors. If you're on the fence about these, don't be just go ahead and get them.

For the price these are great sweatpants. Thicker than most sweatpants that cost more. Very soft and comfortable. If you're between sizes I'd go with the size up. So far they're holding up well and no complaints.
