Reviewing the Soulchen Water Bottle Holder for Saddles. First, let me say that I’ve been riding daily for over fifty years. That has made quite picky about my equestrian equipment. With that disclaimer, I’m giving this three stars. Here’s why: first, it’s too big. A standard water bottle is going to sink too deeply into the carrier. If you are an endurance rider, you’re probably carrying a lot of water, but most of us don’t carry a big bottle because it slaps around when you go faster than a walk. The handy phone pocket is also too big. Your phone will be safe inside, but you’ll have to work at fishing it out of the pouch. Lastly, it’s got a snap to attach it to a Dee ring that’s a bit too small, and a strap to hook it around a Western saddle horn. You can’t remove the one that you won’t be using without cutting it off. I’ll use the Dee ring snap attachment, and be cutting off the Western Saddle Horn strap.
