these are not bad...but not as pictured. They fit me comfortably but they were very scrunched when I put them on. In the photo, they are pulled all the way up believe it or not. There is a ribbon, a trim/strip detail thing, up the back and it is flat up the back of my leg even though the front is all scrunched and buckling. It felt like the front was much longer than the back. If I wanted a scrunched boot, these would be great- they weren't unattractive per say, but looked nothing like the picture. I just ordered down a half size, from 8W to 7.5W to hopefully have less heel slip. It's a cute tall lug boot that stays up with a slight wrinked look over jeans. With just tights they'd have a little more wrinkled look but still stand up fine. You would have to push them down to have them bag down like the one negative reviewer's photo or have very skinny calves. Can wear casual or casual dressy. Good treads should be great in winter. This is a review for the Naturalizer Soul, wide calf, black boot, size 7. I paid $60 and that price is fair for a boot of all man-made materials. The material does not look cheap or fake and the boot feels warm and sturdy. I like the chunkier look of the heel. I am 5'0" and was concerned that the boot shaft would be too tall.
