I love Sorel and I saw these Sorel Women's Explorer II Joan Faux Fur Boot — Waterproof Suede Boots on another site but, as usual, I checked Amazon next. They could be delivered faster for the same price. I like the color that I chose. I usually choose black but I decided to get the Velvet Tan. They do show stains because of the color. The Faux Fur is warm and cozy. Depending on the socks I wear, my feet will get a bit sweaty. They are fairly comfortable with sufficient support. The size is off with these boots. I usually wear a 9 in boots, including my other Sorels, but because of reviews I sized up. My toes aren't at the end but they could use a bit more room. But to go up to a 10 would be too big because they are very wide and they're already loose at the heels. I almost returned them because of the width. They aren't wide at the sole but around my foot. They remind me of old worn in work boots. The shoelaces have to be double tied or else they come untied. I decided that everything else outweighed the width issue and I am happy with them.

I wanted to wear these quite a bit before rating them. Being a Colorado gal I think it's important so they get an honest review. Overall, they are not bad boots. Excellent in the waterproof department and pretty warm until it gets really cold. I wore them last night in -9 and today in -12. My toes were cold in a few minutes with wool socks. However, I bought them to wear for walks when the snow is sort of melted but not enough to wear tennis shoes. They are really comfortable on my left foot but not on my right. For whatever reason they kind of pinch the outside of my foot. Not so bad that I can I wear them for long periods of time but not comfortable either. I'll keep them because they serve their purpose but I'll stick to my Colombia bug a boots for extra warmth and comfort

Bought as a gift for myself! A quality boot for the winter time. I live in Alaska with 6inches of snow currently and they have kept my feet dry. I was skeptical about the ‘waterproof’ part but they seem to be holding up in the snow well! (I don’t normally wear them outside for longer than 1 hour) I listened to the reviews & got 1/2 a size up and they fit perfect! Pros: - warm/fuzzy inside -waterproof when walking in snow -cute & go with almost anything -easy to slip on and off when going to work or the gym Cons: - I have wider feet so it took a week to break them in -show laces don’t stay tied unless double knotted -if too much snow gets in between the bottom of the traction it can become slick so be careful! Otherwise love this boot & extremely happy with this purchase!

I LOVE the look of these BUT, I am a Womens US size 9, B-C width with high arches. I've tried Sorel in the past but they were always too narrow. So, I followed the recommendations (from Sorel website and cust reviews) and ordered one size up (to a 10 which normally would be way too large) and am shocked that they are still too narrow and barely long enough for my size 9 foot (my big toe is touching the end of the boot, and because the toe box is NOT wide there is zero wiggle room for my toes). I certainly won't be able to wear heavy socks. My advice would be that if you have wider feet (esp at the toes) and higher arches, order (AT LEAST) one and a half sizes up if you want to wear winter socks with these. There is no arch support, (the spongy insole is removeable) yet the shoe is quite tight across the arch, even without the insole. They have a really grippy traction on the sole so should be a gorgeous boot for walking around town in the ice and snow.

They look so great!. They are chunky, so my feet do look a bit bigger than they are. I usually wear between a 8-9, and I’m glad I went with the bigger size. Plenty of room for socks! I have very flat feet, and arch support is usually uncomfortable. But, whatever these have going on was perfect the moment I put them on, and still felt good after wearing them all day. The roomy toe box is really nice! I have a permanent leg/ankle/foot injury, so finding the right shoes is often very difficult. Every step is varying degrees of painful. Severe swelling happens after walking or standing for any real length of time. These boots made my injury feel a little less painful, thus making my life a little more enjoyable. They look great, support great, and feel amazing after all day wear. I had a hard time initially buying them, as they were higher than my budget allowed for, but the moment I saw them in person I felt better about it, and once I put them on… I knew they were the right choice! I’ll be saving up for another pair of shoes from Sorel, for sure!

If you are looking for a boot that is as comfortable as a tennis shoe, will keep your feet warm and dry, and as a bonus is really cute then this is the boot for you. Wore the entire time on a 2 week trip to Europe. No breaking in time was needed. I did order a half size up to allow for my winter socks. Walked on cobblestone, up and down stairs, and literally miles every day and kept my feet warm and dry and free from any aches or pains the entire time. Love them! Absolutely amazing!

My wife wanted two pair of the boots..this color (black) and the off white/cream color. She went back and forth and decided to look for something else. I asked her why she didn't buy them? Cost and she might could.get a way better price. Understanding the company rep, I bought both for her and..as expected they are the most comfortable boots she's ever owned and would wear them in the summer if she could. Lol. Well put together, looks great and water resistant as stated. Can't state enough that the price should not deter you. She's price shopping and learned that..get the GOOD stuff and stop wasting time and money, and then write.bummer reviews.
