I have wide feet and a large toes and it is hard for me to find shoes with a comfortable toe box the do not aggravate a big toe of mine that can become ingrown if I am not careful how I care for it. The boots are very light warm comfortable and some how breathable too-- I live in CA and it has been raining quite a bit lately I love to walk and hike and these boots have kept my feet stay toasty warm and dry without causing them to sweat or get stinky. I ordered the 10 -comfie with or without thick ish socks. loved them so much i ordered them in the jet/vapor color combo too so that i have a pair for mud / hiking and a pair for city walking. oh also - i sprayed mine with a light coat of scotch guard i do that with all of my coats shoes and gear-- helps with the water repellency and with making it easier to clean off dirt.

These boots are great, but as stated by other reviewers they run small. I am a 7.5 or a 7 in all of my shoes. However, I had to return the 7.5 for an 8 in these boots. I don't own a single pair of size 8 shoes, but unlike my snow Sorel boots these run small all around length and width. So I would go a size up when ordering. Even with the size up, my bigger foot (we all have one), had to break in the boot more than my other foot, the width still felt a little snug and I have perfect medium feet. You might want to do a try before you buy or find a store to try these on before you buy them. I love them now and wear them often, but it wasn't a shoe that you could put on and feel like you had been always wearing them.

I sized up per SO many reviews and originally got an 8. I am always 7 in sandals and 7.5 in boots and tennis shoes (because of socks). I was swimming in the 8’s and I have a wide toe box. I even tried thick winter socks but still my heels were slipping in the size 8 and I felt like they were too big and clunky. I exchanged for a 7.5 and they fit great. Regular socks fit and I also have room for thicker socks. I do not have wide feet, but I do have a wide toe box and constantly have to stretch the toes of most shoes. These fit comfortably, not snug but a cozy feeling like they hug my feet which is what I want in a winter boot. They almost don’t tighten enough, but with thick wool socks that won’t matter. I can not speak about the waterproofing on these yet.

I got these boots for walking our dog in the woods during the winter. We live in coastal California so there isn't any snow on the ground but it can get wet and muddy -- and most importantly, cold. I have literally worn these everyday since they arrived two weeks ago. They're incredibly warm and comfortable, easy to slide on and off, and generally pretty waterproof (I haven't submerged them or anything but they hold up great in pounding rain and puddles). They are so dang comfortable that I actually hate to take them off and really look forward to putting them on on these cold mornings. I definitely recommend. I am a size 7.5 and that's what size I got and they fit fine with thinner socks. You don't need thick socks with these.

First of all, just know that these are BOOTS not shoes. They resemble a Converse high top show but are bigger and bulkier being that they are a boot. They seem warm, and are VERY comfortable. Personally, I think they are super cute, too. Wish I needed more than one pair so I could wear different colors with different outfits. Other reviews mention a concern that these are inauthentic. I'm not sure but it appears mine may have had a sole repair n/c it looks like there is glue residue on the side of the sole. Mine came in a legit looking Sorel box with a seemingly legit Sorel barcode. I scanned it and it came up with precisely what I'd expect. I can normally wear a size 8 in most shoes. My foot length is 10" from heel to toe and I ordered a size 8.5 and they fit perfectly with regular thin/everyday socks. A size 8 definitely would have been too small.

I love Sorel and I saw these Sorel Women's Explorer II Joan Faux Fur Boot — Waterproof Suede Boots on another site but, as usual, I checked Amazon next. They could be delivered faster for the same price. I like the color that I chose. I usually choose black but I decided to get the Velvet Tan. They do show stains because of the color. The Faux Fur is warm and cozy. Depending on the socks I wear, my feet will get a bit sweaty. They are fairly comfortable with sufficient support. The size is off with these boots. I usually wear a 9 in boots, including my other Sorels, but because of reviews I sized up. My toes aren't at the end but they could use a bit more room. But to go up to a 10 would be too big because they are very wide and they're already loose at the heels. I almost returned them because of the width. They aren't wide at the sole but around my foot. They remind me of old worn in work boots. The shoelaces have to be double tied or else they come untied. I decided that everything else outweighed the width issue and I am happy with them.

Really love the comfort and style of these boots. I took others' advice and ordered a full size up (7 instead of my usual 6), and I go back and forth as to whether I should have gone up even more to a 7.5. The 7s fit but the toe box is still a bit cramped, and I'm not sure I'll be able to wear thick socks. I opted to keep the 7s since they feel pretty warm and I want to wear these boots to work and while being active outside (and wouldn't want to wear thick socks on those occasions). Ultimately very happy with these but the sizing is a pain to figure out.

Desert baby purchase for trip to Pittsburgh in December. I had read the reviews posted on these and glad I sized up. I am normally a 7.5 and the 8s were the only size available for purchase. I took a chance and bought them. I wore thick winter socks and were just right. I also did try wearing a thin sock under the thicker one and that was a little too snug. I was fine with warmth and comfort with the size 8. I got a lot of compliments on them and they are super cute!
