Easily the best leather boots money can buy

I have owned every manner of leather boot from Danner to Thursday. And NOTHING comes close to how much I love these boots. I had to write a review because after a year of wearing them almost daily, and they look better then they did on day one. I love them so much, I don’t want to live without them and pre-emptively bought two more pairs to store. Just buy them and you’ll never look back again. The picture is after a year of use.

Just about perfect

My favorite pair of shoes I've owned in 50 years. Super comfortable, durable and look great. Glad I bought 2 pairs while I could. Insole is comfortable for all day walking, fit is perfect. A brush every month and some mink oil a few times a year and they still look new after about 100 uses.

Excellent shoe/boot. Fashionable and functional. I spent a month in Helsinki in the midst of winter, with all the snow and ice. My feet were comfortable, warm, and dry throughout. Back home in Southern California, I use them as my motorcycle shoes. The soles have good grip, and the shoes are strong and supportive. Well worth the money.

Decent Boot for Price Paid

I got this boot in the color "Major". I paid right at $100. For that price I give it 4 stars. They are nice looking and appear well made. They are fairly light. They run a tiny bit big for my foot but not enough to go up a size. The sole has a lot of cushion and is comfortable. The insert is okay but nothing stellar. I have not gone on any long walks yet but have worn them several days to work and they did not rub my feet at all. However, the suede these boots are made of feels cheap. It is not supple and is rather hard feeling. I don't know if that is just with the color "Major" or if it is true of everything in this line of boot. For $100 I think they are fine and I will keep them and likely enjoy them for casual and wet weather use. But if I had paid the suggested retail price of $189 and the leather felt the way these do I would have sent them back without trying them on. I think this is a good $100-120 boot. But not good enough for $190.

The Sorel Men's Madson II Chukka Waterproof Ankle Boots are extremely comfortable. Fit true to size. Soft cushioned comfortable insole and very durable rubber outsole. These boots are amazing for all day wear and are waterproof, excellent in snow and rain. Durable good looking real leather, nice workmanship and quality. Pleasantly surprised with the quality and comfort of these Sorel boots. I suggest getting a pair for yourself!

Great boot

These were comfortable right out of the box, and were breaking in even more after the first few hours of wear. The suede is nice and these can definitely be worn as a dress-casual shoe with jeans or chinos and still be utilitarian in offering traction and weather protection. Being Sorel, I anticipate they’ll be long lasting as well. Fit is great, order your normal size.

Great daily wear boot.

Great boot. I wear them nearly daily. The waterproofing works well and I have never had a wet sock to date. The sole is a bit soft in the middle which is great for comfort, but doesn't stand up to shovel very well. All in all, these are great boot for daily wear, but if you do some heavier work I'd switch them up for another pair. The laces are weak as well so I switched them out after a few months.
