A very nice recorder of beautiful construction. The feel of the plastic is pleasant to the touch and the finger holes are spaced so that even small hands can cover all of them easily. The tone is very nice and pure. A nice addition to any music ensemble.

I chose this recorder for a gift. I have a high quality wooden one that I have had for over 40 years, and the sound to this recorder is nearly as good as that one. This resin one is so much better than the cheapy plastic ones you can buy at the dollar store. I really appreciate that it is three pieces because not everybody's pinkies are the same length so you can adjust the recorder to reach the last hole regardless. Comes with a fingering chart, a drawstring velour bag and a cleaning rod. To be honest I'm not sure how to use the cleaning rod because my old wooden one comes with a cleaning brush like a soft straw brush and that is all I have ever used. I ordered a bunch of recorders in this price range because I wanted to test them out and (mostly) because I took one to a gathering and it was amazing how many people wanted to play “hot cross buns” a.k.a. “three blind mice” on the thing. It was quite popular. Soooo, why not load up on recorders. We’re getting the band back together! Seems I didn’t order enough and this brown conjurer seemed attractive enough. It is! The main difference between this one and the similar ones from soulmate, swan, east top, etc. is that this one comes in a storage bag that I can use to clean my glasses. Other than that, the recorders themselves might all be coming from the same factory. As for quality and all – these are great! This is a very nice soprano recorder. It is well made and should last a long time. It is perfect to learn to play the recorder on. It comes with a cleaning rod and a bag to store it in. The sounds that come from this recorder are very clear. This would make a very good first recorder for a child.

Leave it to aunt and uncle to find something completely ridiculous for the niece. Who doesn't love splurging on fun noisemakers? This recorder is absolutely just a toy and for less than $10, it's worth it! It is off key and the fingers don't necessarily change the notes too much, but it's well worth it if you don't reside in the same house it belongs to. ... show more

I really like this German recorder and it comes in an array of really attractive colors. It is well made and the sound is rich and vibrant. Like a flute, this does come with head joint, body and foot joint. I love that it comes with a drawstring bag; a cleaning rod and best of all a fingering chart.

The media could not be loaded. I'll start with "I'm not a woodwind player. I'm a guitarist with pretentions", so this is the perspective of someone who knows music, but has only messed around with recorders. This is an... ok student recorder. Kind of. The sound is a bit trebbly, with some intonation problems. I think these come from the rough interior finish - the sprue and mold lines made it tricky to consistently put the whole thing back together tightly, so it's often a little out of tune. The reed is also roughly cut, so it doesn't deflect as cleanly as it should. See photos for what I mean. The low notes are also much harder for me to hit reliably than on other recorders I've used. Honestly, if I were a student, I'd find this very disheartening to learn on. Things improved when I took a razor blade and cleaned up the inside of the tube. If you need a cheap recorder, this can work - as long as you put in some time cleaning it up. ... show more
