This is a great beginner recorder/flute. However, be warned that if your kid uses it to sword fight their friend it is going to break. Wish I had a picture of the aftermath but none of the pieces made it home.

I knew that a six dollar recorder wasn't going to be great, but I was at least expecting to blow the same notes every time. Nope. There's so much air leak at both its connection points that your pitch can be radically different and unpredictable, even when keeping your fingers on the same holes. Spend a few dollars more and get a better recorder, this one isn't usable for anything more than a prop. ... show more
