One of my two PS3s stopped working correctly, probably from a power surge. I ordered a new computer card but couldn't fix myself. Looked at other consoles but nothing comes close to the PS3 for versatility, not even the PS4. The PS4 has a much faster processor and memory but SONY has not enabled DNLA or even BlueRay (for movies), so unless you're a gamer, you will probably be very disappointed in the PS4 at this time. I’m still getting use out of this old console. I play old Minecraft (before Microsoft) and was able to access old ps1-ps3 downloads (like $75 in games) before the shop went down. Good old machine.

Don't buy not worth it at all!! You cant do anything movies, digital nothing even struggle to get into the app store and the controller failed as soon as we got it couldnt even play it sucked.. the joy sticks stocked no buttons worked and sometimes even struggled to turn on. bullshit wish we could refund but we waited to long cause we thought it would work and even called around to see what to do they told us it was automatically a faulty system we shouldn't have bought. ... show more

Works great, fan gets a bit loud sometimes. I installed a 2TB HDD in it, and I have been contentedly gaming with hundreds of downloads ever since. Recommended.

But im giving you 5 stars bc you were so kind about the problem and was willing to give me a refund and you even let me keep the games that came with it bc I had already bought another PlayStation since it was for a childs birthday.     • Defective product, but easy return
Item was not working upon arrival. Suspect it was overheating because it would stay on for less than 5 minutes and then shut down. The seller did accept the return without question, but it was a disappointment and inconvenience to receive it, then pick it up and take it back to UPS.
