  • Works solid now after some struggle. Not as fast as exepect w my TB3 Lenovo Y740 LT
Need increase my rendering framerate and reduce my wait time in Davinci resolve Windows 10. I received it pretty quickly from Amazon but could not get it work at all no matter what I tried. Seemed everything was right but my computer always said it wasn't compatible and never seen my RTX3060 card I had in it. Same for two other computers I tried it on. The card worked fine in a desktop so it wasn't that. I then returned it for another. BINGO! I had a working EGPU. Seems to work decent with Windows 11 and a little tweaking of the default card settings. But rendering with Davini Resolve it seems the Throughput is not there for the constant high demand on the card no matter what I tried. IT surely helps reduce render times maybe 25% I was expecting a minimum of 50% based on that my build in card is a RTX2070 MaxQ. Theoretically at %200 but I expect a little less based on research. So anyway I think its my computers limitations on TB3 as it might not be utilizing the full 40GBs of the bus. Thank you Sonnet for making this thing to help computers out. I will do more testing with other systems when I have time. I have a thunderbolt 4 one someone I know has and will test it on there. ... show more

  • Not Future Proof as Advertised
I like that it is quiet and well made. I don't like that it doesn't support any AMD 7900 card except the AMD reference designs. That isn't future proof as it was advertised to be.

  • Works great with my 1080ti
There's not really a lot to say: it does exactly as intended. I have it connected to an XPS, through a displayport switcher, and so far as I can tell--no measurements--it works as well as my old gaming desktop. I have to admit that if I'd known the 750ex was a thing, I might have gone that way instead of a standalone docking station. It might be nice if Sonnet made a flat version. Most of my computing equipment is attached to the back of my desk, out of sight, and a half-depth/double-width version would have worked well for me. ... show more

  • Yes, it works for PC gaming
Bought this to use with a Samsung Galaxy Book Pro, it works great for gaming, it's not a Mac-only device. Just make sure you have a good Thunderbolt 4 cable port for the best performance. The Galaxy Book Pro uses a Thunderbolt 4 port for power as well so all you need is just one cord and the eGPU will power the laptop (if it uses one port for both.) I docked 1 star due to the lack of IO on the eGPU. ... show more

  • Runs Wonderfully on my Intel NUC
It runs perfectly in the games I want to run. No drivers, just plug and play. It just works. Definitely a must have for those that want more power out of their tiny PCs or laptops.

  • Good luck getting it into the case...
Hoped to be able to use a decent GPU with my micro-PC. It LOOKS like it should fit a decent card... the tech is all in there... but the CASE is too small to even get the GPU inside. You can't angle it, tilt it, there's no other way in, the case is riveted so you can't unscrew or disassemble it. Nothing. Now way in. Maybe a lesser model GPU will, but my nVidia GeForce 3090 TI does NOT. ... show more

  • Could Not Get it to Work Consistently
It is a very nice looking product when assembled. Can be a little tricky getting the top on since you have to line up tabs with groves and they don’t always catch. Biggest issue was consistency. Would not always wake up not matter what I tried, but this is mostly likely due to my pc and not the enclosure. On the plus side, at least it would turn on, which the razer chroma x / x never did. ... show more

... show more
