Everything looks good but the hat. It'll pass if you don't have other options, but it's pretty lame. The spikes are flat and don't sit up so it kind of just looks like blue anime hair or something silly. The costume is great, has the same flat spikes on the spine but it doesn't look weird...but I'd recommend finding a separate head piece if you can, for sure. ... show more

    • Comfortable, but hat size not "one size fits all"

I ordered this for my soon to be 5 year old for Halloween. He loves the costume. It's easy to put on, it's a nice, bright blue that matches the colors of Sonic that you would expect. It comes with gloves, but my son normally doesn't wear them. He did put them on and they were comically large (likely to match the aesthetic of Sonic himself). When he did wear them, he was unable to use his hands. But like I said, this wasn't a problem for me as my son didn't want to wear it. The hat, however, is too small. Sure, it fits on his head, but the strap that goes underneath his chin is tough to velcro together. It will stick together, but barely and comes off easily (not because of the velcro but because of the size). And the cap part of the hat slides off his head. He ended up taking it off when we went early trick or treating. He's happy, so it's fine by me, but if your child is dead set on wearing the hat (as one might expect) be a bit weary or at least understand it may not fit perfectly. I can't speak for larger sizes, but based on what I've read, it's a one size fits all type of head piece. In terms of value, I was pleased. ... show more

I bought this for my 7 year old. Choosing sizes based on that chart. It says fits ages 5-7 but it was way too big on him. Maybe closer to 7-8. The gloves were huge and the headpiece didn't even stay on. It kept flopping off. Don't be fooled by the pictures on the order...Those spikes are attached with velcro and DO NOT STAND UP AT ALL!! The tail was the same, about 2 inches long and floppy. The "shoes" have this little elastic band that goes under your kids shoe, flimsy. DEFINITELY NOT WORTH THE $35 I PAID!!! ... show more

My grandson loved the costume. He is 5 years old and I ordered him a small. It fit great. He was able to wear clothes underneath and still fit great. I will purchase again. Also, I ordered a week before Halloween. When I ordered it will be here on. Oct. 28-30. I got it within 3 days of ordering.

Got this for my 10 yr old size large fit perfect! If you have MARIO gloves they work too. He looked adorable. Head piece was a little small not deep enough for a head but I placed it on a doll for about a 2 weeks to keep its shape and it worked!

    • Not Worth the money at all!!!

Poorly constructed and cheaply made. Materials are sheer on the costume and the headpiece is horrible. I'm still trying to figure out how to deal w/the spikes flip flopping all around. They are made of the cheap foam material and do not have enough cushion to be able to play w/them and make them stick up like they are on the picture. I am terrible disappointed on this product and against my will; I'm going to end up keeping it solely because my son adores Sonic.
