This is actually a very solid unit and the main frame is made from solid wood. You couldn't build something that looks like this for the cost. There is an issue though with its stability because it has such a high center of gravity. The maker resolves this by wanting you to attach a board across the lower legs once it has been placed over the toilet (a major pain and hassle esp if you want to move it) and second, by attach the upper cross beam to the wall (not really a pain, but requires drilling into the wall!) The solution I found to resolve this is by putting adhesive felt strips on the bottom on the feet of the unit and then making sure the felt is thicker on the front two legs than the back. This will cause the unit to want to lean back. Then, when you push it up against the wall, it will be solidly in place. However, you will need to attach two tiny rubber bumpers where it contacts the wall, so there is no damage to the wall where it makes contact. Once the unit is leaning back and solidly in contact with the wall, it is quite stable and won't move. And if you do this, you don't have to attach the lower cross beam or bolt the unit to the wall. I have ordered two of these and I'm ordering a third. And once the unit is stable, it looks fantastic.

Not sure what the problem is with the other guy and "clearing his toilet plumbing". I put it together upstairs and brought it down to the lower level bathroom and put it in place with no problems clearing the toilet back lid or plumbing behind the toilet. It looks really nice, good quality, and looks pricey but it was quite reasonable. Looks great in the bathroom. Our new toilet has the flush bottom on the top of the lid and there is still enough room to put our hand under the shelf to push the button. On the negative side, the shelves are small so there isn't a ton of room for more then a few towels folded numerous times, and perhaps a few toiletries. Also, this is lightweight and might fall over if not secured to the wall with the enclosed wall bracket. We don't need this but some people might want to secure it this way. Overall, it arrived in great condition and took about 30 min. to put together. Would definitely buy again.

Very pretty, but I imagine you wouldn't want to use in a steamy bathroom as the wood would likely warp. I'm using as a small space shelving over a mini fridge, so I'm not particularly concerned with how it does around steam. My biggest issue is it didn't come with instructions, and you can't access it via their website. They require you to email them for instructions, and by that time I get a reply, I'd rather just return and buy elsewhere. It's also not the sturdiest, nor easiest to put together without instructions when the screw holes don't always line up perfectly. On a side note, the screws are also metric for reference. That's neither bad nor good, just a point of reference for people who prefer to work with their own tools instead of the tool provided.

My downstairs bathroom is really small, this fit perfectly, and left enough room for a trashcan next to the tub. I was missing one piece in the box when it arrived. I contacted customer support and they shipped me out the missing piece without a problem. It was really easy to put together, and it looks great!
